Week 16 Report
Well things in the league stand exactly as they did last week, although
a couple of points picked up by Loudenwater Stables who I think picked
Kyntara in the swap week. He was an odds on shot at Southwell but only
landed 1.10 points for 2nd. The all count Loudenwater, you’re still very
much in the hunt in 5th placeNot much going to change this week either unless anyone maybe fancies
one in the Imperial Cup at Sandown. Are they still offering 100 grand
for winning the Imperial and a race at the Festival? I used to love
the race in old Pipe’s day, he always had one up his sleeve, the fly
begger. I put a bit up this morning on the Big Races Forum. I fancied
and did a long boring explanation why Lucky one is extremely well
handicapped at 40/1. You can read it in the forum if tedium is your
thing. That’s well gone now, still a couple of 33s but as low as 20/1.Remember to get your 2 picks on this week before 11am on 15th March.
No change at all but I’ve only got the one job on here so I’m going
to post the league anyway, just try and stop me1

March 14, 2022 at 15:28 #1586994Well it’s going to be a quick update as I’ve got a bit on this week.
As I mentioned last week everthing is on hold for Cheltenham and that’s
how it turned out with no points to anyone and therefore the League placings
are unaltered.Every stable is loaded with entries to the Festival, and it may cause a
shake up in the League next week, although Michael Walsh has repelled all
borders for some time now.I’ve got a lot on my plate with the Cheltenham Competition, helped out
by my mate Jac, I’m sure we’ll get throught it. It’s at times like this
that you realise how much we were dependent on Nathan. He’s due to put
his feet up for once having gone through a hard year. I hope you’re lucky
this week mate, I’m sure your brother does tooI’ll just wish you best of luck at Cheltenham this week, a few of us still
waiting to see where half of Willie Mullins horses are going yet. Same old
same oldIt keeps it easier me to just have to look back at last weeks scores, so
here they are.1

Last chance to get your transfers in before 11am tomorrow morning.
Those last 2 could make all the differenceMarch 23, 2022 at 13:02 #1589460Week 18 mini update
Big apologies for not having the update done yet, I’ve had a pretty
full week and still have family here. They head home tomorrow and I’ve
got to take my car up to Glasgow for its service but I’ll get it done
this week. I can see that the top 2 have kept their place, but looks like
a huge jump for Sultans of Swing into 3rd. catch up laterI’ll give full update but here are the league results at the moment

308.11March 30, 2022 at 04:17 #1590336Well as you might expect in the wek after the Festival there
was a complete stalemate in the league with not a point scored.
Having not been quite up to speed last week, or this for that
matter, there are a few who deserve some praise for their
Cheltenham performanceAs I briefly mentioned, Michael Welsh held onto his top spot
with a stable stacked with top class winners
Gold Cup – A Plus Tard
Champion Hurdle – Honeysuckle
Ryanair – Allaho
QM Champion Chase – Energumene
Ballymore – Sir Gerard
Turner Nov Chase – Bob Olinger
and also a good runner up in the Supreme, Jonbon. All in all 273.14 Points was a superb total. Great
stuff Michael, a good Aintree could just see you homeGalaxy’s Bread Winners aren’t for lying down though with a
great score of 243.81 withArkle – Edwaedstone
Ch Hurdle – Honeysuckle
Gold Cup – A Plus Tard
Ryanair – Allaho
Turner Nov Chase – Bob OlingerThat was enough to keep Galaxy in 2nd spot just over 40 points
behind Michael. I think it’s going to be nick and tuck between
these 2. You’re not letting him out of you sights Galaxy, another
great scoreBefore anyone starts thinking this is a 2 horse race, you just need
to look at Sultans Of Swing, who crafted a near perfect stable for
Cheltenham abd in the process VAULTED 11 places to 3rd spot with
ab amazing array of winners….Arkle – Edwardstone
Champion Hurdle – Honeysuckle
Gold Cup – A Plus Tard
Ryanair – Allaho
QM Ch Chase – Energumene
Turner Nov Chase – Bob Olinger
and runner up in tthe Stayers – Thyme HillAll in all 302.91 Points, the highest score of the week and
the biggest jumper in the league. Great stable SOS, absolutely
tailor made for the Festival. It was like a Jamie Spencer ride
coming through the pack. You’ve not quite got there yet but you’ve
given yourself a real shoutSome other scores bear a mention, they also had a cracking Festival.
Inthestream jumped 7 places to 11 with 218.93 Points, Dark Angels
jumped 3 to 16th with 163.21 Points and Midnight pulled another 3 places
away from the bottom end with 151.53 Points.Very well done all of you, I hope you had a few of those in accas,
that wouldn’t half sting the bookiesAgain, apologies for the delays in the last couple of weeks, it’s been
a busy timeI hope you had a good Cheltenham, although poor Nathan got soaked at
Cheltenham on Wednesday (the day of the mud, don’t even think about it Jac )
he kept himself well back from the crowds after each race trying to isolate
and got turned over by th rozzers as a suspected pick pocket. Damned
disgrace that an apology wasn’t forthcoming from the boys in blueIt seems odd to have the Scottish Grand National before the big one,
I’m not quitee sure how that happened but I’ll have a bet as I always
do, in fact I’ve already taken the 16/1 for Rightplacerightime. He’s
at the right end of the handicap, has been competing in top class
chases over in Ireland and Emmet Mullins has done extremely well
with his horses in big handicaps over here all year. I think he
has to have a big shout. Best of luck this weekThe scores haven’t changed from last week, but I’m posting them up
anyway, so there1

308.11April 1, 2022 at 18:39 #1590656Just 8 days to go and it’s still tight at the top. It’s been a
tough competition but some great stables. I still think that a
league competition would be great, I’ve brought them up with
them before and they said they would consider it.Best of luck everyone
April 8, 2022 at 13:38 #1592017Apologies, I should have said on Monday that there wasn’t any movement
as expected in the league, but left it as nothing to update.
Aintree has already caused some movement, but I won’t reveal that until
racing has finished tomorrow. I will say that it’s incredibly tight at
the topApril 11, 2022 at 03:38 #1592941Haven’t forgotten about you guys, it’s just when I went on Sunday,
the leagues had disappeared. I assumed they were in the middle of
tidying it up, but it hasn’t come back. I’ll get in touch with them
in the morning and get it sorted out.April 11, 2022 at 14:20 #1593013Well thankfully common sense prevailed and the tote put the Leagues
back up today, it’s amazing what a good rant can do, so I can reveal
that the winner of the TTTF Jumps Competition 2022 is ……..
Michael WalshVery well done Michael and that final win on Jonbon saw you home well.
You’re a worthy winner having had to fight off the league mostly from
the top. I’ll be in touch on PM and arrange to get you 50 quid to youThe second spot was held by Sultans of Swing, who flew through the League
to challenge Michael. Clan Des Obeaux in the Betway Bowl won well and being
a bonus race gained you 60 Points. Without Michael’s Jonbon win, there would
have been a single point between you, albeit Michael would just have held on.
Great run SOS, I said at the start should there be 20 or more runners I would
stick up 25 quid for the runner up. There were 23 runners so I’ll honour that
promise. I’ll PM you to arrange the transfer. Very well doneGalaxy’s Bread Winners, you ran a great race in 3rd, just being pipped for
the runners up spot, despite Chacun Pour Soi winning (27.50) the Dublin Chase
last Wednesday. Extremely well done Mate, you gave it your allWell done and thanks to all who took part, no matter where you finished in the
League. I hope you enjoyed it.I’m sure they’ll have another one up shortly.

309.91April 11, 2022 at 16:10 #1593047Well done Michael. Thanks for the updates BigG. I’ll just have to win the flat competition again instead haha.
April 11, 2022 at 17:05 #1593068Good luck next time Mike007
April 11, 2022 at 23:29 #1593132Hi everyone, delighted to win the competition this year, espically as I came second last year but missed the entry date so I was like Modern Games not running for betting purposes!
The prize money will work out to almost €60 for me so I’d like do the following with it:
Donate €20 to the IJF
Donate €20 to the Red Cross Ukraine appeal
and keep €20 for sweet moneyThanks to BigG for running the comp, doing his brilliant updates all season and putting up the prizes. Thanks to everyone who took part as well it was super competitive and really brightened up the winter. Hope you all make a few quid at Fairyhouse and Punchestown and on the flat over the summer.
I’ll have a go at the flat competition as well but I’m clueless at it the flat really
Thanks again everyone,
Best wishes,
MichaelApril 12, 2022 at 02:11 #1593145Brilliant Michael, it’s great to know that two very needy and amazing
charities will benefit from your win, and a little left over for
whatever your fancy isApril 15, 2022 at 17:24 #1593813Thank you for offer of prize for Sultan Of Swing’s second place finish in the Jumps mini-league, Graham.
Though I’ve followed the forum with interest for several years, as a debut entrant I wouldn’t be at ease taking it. So, kindly roll £25 on to next season’s Jumps league.
Thanks for organising this. It certainly adds to the fun and is much appreciated.
Incidentally, the TTF Flat game is due to launch three weeks later than last year in order to capture more form, eg Guineas classics in a fortnight’s time. Entry window is pencilled in for Mon 23 May to Thurs 2 June.
April 15, 2022 at 18:37 #1593827That’s extremely kind of you Sam, That’s a great boost for TTTF Jumps 2022/2023.
Thanks so much for thatApril 17, 2022 at 13:24 #1594210That’s a shame the flat competition is starting later. A lot of points that were up for grabs for the early classics/group 1s will be no longer available. That was half the fun.
April 17, 2022 at 22:04 #1594285Well done Michael what a great stable you put together and a lovely touch donating a big portion of your prize to two worthy charities.
SamD that is also a very generous offer donating your prize back into Graham’s competition next time and well done for winning the mini league.
Agree with Mike about the flat competition kicking off so late and missing out the Guineas meeting but I will be there hopefully doing better than I did in this comp.
Finally a big thank you to Graham who has kept us updated throughout this competition and made it so interesting.
Also for kindly putting up the prizes, you are a star Graham.⭐ Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out... -
