Week 12 Update
A terrific couple of days racing at Punchestown gave the league something
to get their teeth into, and many took good advantage of it. In fact there
wasn’t 1 blank stable so well done.Top of the table, or the 1st 2, remain in place. Seems like there’s no
shifting Michael Walsh. An impressive win by Sir Gerhard in the Nov HDLE
on Sunday and a fine 2nd with Minella Indo in the Irish Gold Cup on the
Saturday ammounted to 41.38 Points. Steering a steady ship there MikeThe gap is closing as Galaxy’s Bread winner had the incredible, unbeatable,
Honeysuckle. She’s a star and it’s looking even better for her as Appreciate It
who hasn’t bee out since since last March, is there something Uncle Willie
isn’t telling us GBW’s had a great treble by adding Galopin Des
Champs and Chacun Poir Soi who both won their races with ease. 79.70 Points
claws you that bit closer again this week Galaxy. The chasm that existed
before is just 1 top race point away now. Tight at the topThe RaceCourse Gallopers is another who has thrown a spanner in the works
with a treble of winners, Honeysuckle, Galopin Des Champs and Chacun Pour
Soi, all easy winners over the weekend and added Minella Indo who was
runner up in Irish Gold Cup. A superb 120.90 Points to move up a couple
of places to get his foot on the 3rd place podium. Top scorer of the
week TRG, and a significant move up the tableFar too many on Honeysuckle, only 2 stables missing out. Some really
good scores this week as TRG wasn’t the only one to break the ton.
Goodfellow run up a great treble with Honeysuckle, Chacun Pour Soi
and the very good looking Sir Gerhard. A tally of 107.20 Points,
but that was bettered by Green’s Freebies also ran up a treble
with Honeysuckle, Galopin Des Champs and Blue Lord, who just about
broke my heart after he got the better of Riviera D’etel, who I had
just transferred into VTC’s TTF Water under the bridge now
and a magnificent tally and week for you Green, up 4 places to 11th.
Well done both of youSo many good scores this week it would take me 3 pages to write them
all up so I’ll just say well done to allSome Stable interest at Newbury this weekend, the Denman Chase should
have Bravemansgame, Clan des Obeaux and Royal Pigaille, that should be
some race. Bravemansgame is also entered in a handicap in the 1st race,
but I can’t see him wanting to give half a ton to all of the field, bar
1, so I’d expect he’ll be in the Denman too.The other big race, the Game Spirit has Funambule Sivola and Sceaux Royal
whilst over at Warwick Third Time Lucky and Molly Ollys Wishes are of stable
interest too. That’s all from me this week, best of luck if you’re on any of the above

On any other week that would almost certainly be top scorer Goodfellow
but still an incredible score mareFebruary 16, 2022 at 04:16 #1583381Week 13 Update (apologies for being late, stuff to do )
Mike and Galaxy have a blank week, but still manage to hold the
top 2 slots whilst FF91 fights his way back to 3rd place with
the very useful looking Bravemansgame, 11.73 Points, who was
always doing enough to win at Cheltenham on Saturday.Very well done FF, I reckon you’re got a real shout in the BA
Novices’ Chase, especially if Galopin Des Champs decides to head
for the Turners Novices’ CHase. Well done this week,Lowaters Stable had the magnificent looking Elimay, 14.12 Points,
who brought back memories of Desert Orchid, didn’t touch a twig and
never came off the bridle. The beautiful grey grey looked a picture.
led from start to finish, and won as she liked at Naas. She has every
chance in the PP Mares Chase at the Festival. 7/2 looks a reasonable
bet. Big bonus that you’re the only one to have her FF and a 1 place
move up to 5th. Nice oneGoodfellow is another who has the sole rights to one. Journey With Me
kept his unbeaten record at Naas on Saturday, 12.22 Points, and I’d
imagine is Ballymore bound, and with every chance. A cracker to keep
up your sleeve G and a place move up to 6thRaymo’s Compost Strikes Again, was another to strike with Bravemansgame,
11.73 points, and a nice move of a couple of places up to 15th. This one
has turned out a cracker for your stable Raymo and has a big shout at
the Festival as I mentione earlier. Best of luck mateScottish Pride and Midnight might think themselves a tad unlucky with
the excellent Royale Pagaille who ran a decent race in the Denman Chase,
Following Clan Des Obeaux, until he realised that Elderado Allen had
slipped the field a bit and wasn’t looking like coming back. Only 1.40
Points, but every chance in the Gold Cup. I’ve taken the 20s e/w NRNB
and the 33s with Bet365 (that still stands) although they haven’t gone
NRNB yet. I reckon both bets are well worth it. Good luck guysFor the 2nd time in 3 weeks, Funambule Sivola, 23.25 Points, saved my bacon
and has got me out of the dungeon, which is getting to be like home for me
but along with the 1.40 Points for Royale Pagaille it’s boosted me 3 places
to 20th. That might not sound like much, but it’s nose bleed stuff for me.
Top scorer this week so I’ll pat myself on the backThose were the only scorers on a hard week.
Raymo will be looking forward to seeing his Molly Olleys Wishes in the
Rendlesham at Haydock on Saturday, she has every chance there.Quilixios hasn’t managed to get his head in front for me, runner up twice,
but has a big shout at Gowran Park on Saturday.Goshen looks a sound bet in the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanto on Saturday,
with stable interest in him.Fakir Doudairies and Saint Calvados look like the 2 to fight out the Ascot
Chase on Saturday and Melon is out at Gowran Park.I think those are all the stable interests running, good luck if you are on
them and happy hunting on the betting frontHere are the scores as per the TTTF website.

236.17February 21, 2022 at 23:24 #1584241Week 14 Update.
One horse apart, Fakir D’oudries in the Ascot Chase on Saturday, it was a
pretty quiet week. No change with the top 6 in the league, all having a blank
week. Those that benefitted from Fakir were Green’s Freebies, 29.45, But Green
also had Lisnagar Oscar who added 1.30 Points for finishing 3rd in the Cleeve
Hurdle at Ascot. Top points winner of the week (30.75 Points) and joint best
mover, up 4 to 7th place. Really good week and moving up on those leaders
Green. Very well doneThere were another 3 stables who also made moves in the right direction, all
with Fakir D’oudairies and 29.45 Points were Raymo’s Compost Strikes Again,
up 3 places to 12th, TRF RR77 up 4 places to 15th and Bourne Losers up 3 places
to 17th. He’s best priced 12/1 but as low as 8s for the Ryanair. Best luck
guys, a nice member in your stable with potentially very valuable points to
be had at the FestivalThe only other points found by any of our stables, who has for the time being
taken over my place in the dungeon, was Numpty For The Jumps pick of Time To
Get Up. It was a good run in 3rd in the National Trial at Haydock, (3.5 Points)
and he’s still entered in the Grand National, but he would have had to win to get
anywhere near the mark. If he has one last try he’s going to have to do something
pretty spectacular to get his weight up. Having said that he’s a good horse and
there will be opportunities for him to get some valueable points, so don’t give
up on him yet NFTJ. Best of luckIt looks like nothing of particular interest stable wise this week, it probably will
be likethis until the Festival. I like races like the Eider at Newcastle on Saturday,
I’m hoping that Achille might have a shout. He ran a good race over in the Midland National
over 4m 2f last March, when still well behind with 2 to go, but made a lot of ground to take
6th, 6L back. That was off of 142 1nd he’s down to 135, 7lbs better off. He also ran a decent
race in 4th off 141 in the Welsh National after being badly hampered at the start. Still 16/1
available, but starting to turn blue with plenty of 14s about.Best of luck with your punting, not long until Cheltenham now

239.67February 22, 2022 at 14:14 #1584301Reference my selection Time To Get Up and the Grand National.
He was not qualified to enter having not run in 6 Chases by
the required date so he ran well on Saturday. Will have to try
to find some good options in the transfer window so as not to
finish bottom of our league. Many Thanks
February 24, 2022 at 19:12 #1584565Thanks for that John. Good luck with him, I’m sure he’ll pick
up some decent pointsFebruary 25, 2022 at 13:06 #1584649Hello again
I have just been on the Tote web site and have noticed that
they have a new Ten To Follow Competiton for the Cheltenham
Festival 2022 which is now open for entries.Have not done any checking of the rules but it seems that you
can change your entries before racing begins.More on this latter
Many Thanks

Good scouting John..forgot about that..thank you.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...February 28, 2022 at 12:11 #1585156Thanks John. Just spotted that myself. If it’s anything like the rest of their website, worth putting aside plenty of time to wrestle with it!
Details:
All stables must be registered by 11am on the 15th of March.
Selections within stables may be changed freely until the deadline.February 28, 2022 at 13:10 #1585166Hello to everyone
Just to let you know that all horses are not
yet available to chose. Another batch will be
added this week and you can request any horse
yourself. I have asked for Shan Blue. Also remember that next Monday March 7th 2022
the Transfer Window for the main competition
opens and you can change 2 Horses. As Tonge says give yourself plenty of time and
think before you press the return keyAll the best for Cheltenham to everyone.
February 28, 2022 at 13:29 #1585169Thanks for that John I was going to add it into my weekly report, which I’ll
get in later, but good to get the information out about the Transfer Window
starting on 7 March. Cheers mateFebruary 28, 2022 at 16:14 #1585184Week 15 Report
Well forgot to save it and it disappeared into hyperspace
Fortunately there is not much to update as there were no stable runners
last week, so the league stays exactly as it is.I’m afraid that next week is more of the same with nobody having any stable
horses running, so a nother blank week awaits. They are all safely tucked
away in their boxes watching reruns of Cheltenham just to get them in the
mood. There are a couple that could have been expected to be in a stable or 2.
Bristol De Mai and Cloth Cap head off each other at kelso and Buveur D’Air
is in the Morebattle Hurdle at the same meeting. Interestingly Buveur is
not fav, thats Metier. He may be a bit long in the tooth at 11 but I think
that 13/2 is a reasonable bet. I reckon there’s still a bit of life in him
yet.Well not a lot more I can say, except best of luck with your punting and
competitions, and don’t forget your transfer window which is for a week
from 7th March. It’s exactly the same as last week, but I’ll print it up anway, cos that’s
what I doHere’s the league as per the TTTF site.

transfer window is now open, but I see that my trusty deputies have got
my back whilst I was awayMake sure you get them changed by next week. I’ll have my update done by
tomorrow. It’s been a long day.March 7, 2022 at 23:17 #1586125Thanks John and Graham
I presume once you have transferred in your 2 horses you cannot change them so will wait a wee bit longer before doing so.Good luck everyone my Dark Angels are flexing their wings to embark on a virtually impossible mission of retrieval.
Let all the horses and jockeys come home sound and safe and it will be a fabulous Festival. Jac

I’ve still to make my final decision, but hopefully I’ve got a
cunning plan -
