When Chezza says he hates something, it’s because he wants the
roving eye to be cast elsewhere. He’s a scheming B and he’ll
have a plan…..watch this spaceSeptember 13, 2023 at 08:03 #1662808Chezza reckons BigG knows Chezza FAR too well!

Well it was all about one horse this week, and Threenaps and
Edantony were on him. Continuous looked impressive winning the
St Leger and a very nice 55.50 points saw threenaps jump 3 places
to get a foot on the podium in 3rd whilst Edantony jumped a place
to 10th. Very well done both of you, joint high scorers with threenaps
being the biggest mover. First class chaps and it looks like it’s the
Arc next. Exciting stuffChezza’s Cheating Charlatans has done well with Arrest and he ran a fine
race behind Continuous in the Leger. He could be another for the Arc and
40/1 seems a bit big to me. 13.60 keeps Chezza in 12th place but quietly
sneaking closer. I told you to watch this spaceThe only other scorer was Man Superstars who had Sweet William who was
outfoxed by Hollie Doyle taking the better ground up the centre of the
course. He ran a good race Mike, 1.60 points seems a bit mean for such
a good effort, but they all count come the winning postI don’t see a great deal out this weekend that will change a lot in the
league but best luck if I’ve missed one.Good luck also to anyone having a punt, especially if you’re brave enough
to touch the Cesarewitch Trial at Newmarket…..nightmareHere are the scores as per the TTTF site.

165.82September 21, 2023 at 14:17 #1663873As you say BigG, for most of us in the competition, it will be a quiet weekend, but Midnight has 5 of the team entered between 3pm today and Sunday, 2 of which are in the bonus race the Ayr Gold Cup.
Best of Luck Midnight.
September 21, 2023 at 23:21 #1663942Thanks for that threenaps and good luck to Midnight. My mistake for
missing out the Ayr Gold Cup, especially as it’s one of my fav races.
I tend to check on the Group and Listed races where probably most have
their horses, so it can catch me out with the handicaps. If I’m Honest,
I missed that the Ayr Gold Cup was a bonus race if I had I might have
added Northern Express who I’ve backed at 25/1.Good luck to all that have any running this weekend.
October 5, 2023 at 16:22 #1665704Week 17 (In case you are wondering where week 16 is,it is lost in the mists of time.
Or for those of you looking for a more acceptable excuse, I’ve spent more time
in Hospitals than I have out recently. Apologies nevertheless)Anyway, since week 15 the top 3 have yet to be moved. Carlisle Are Up and has the added
points of one of the finds of the season. Highfield Princess stormed away from them at
the sharp end in the Prix de L’Abbeye and won wuite cosily in the end.A nice 29.90 points
keeps Mickey the one to catch.Blackbeard I’ll av EEE Isn’t for letting letting Mickey gallop off into the sunset,
Nathan also had Highfield Princess and added a couple with River Tiber’s third in
the Prix Morny. A good week will put you right up there Nathan. Keep plugging away
mateThree needed to do little more than sit on his 505.94 to hold on to his 3rd place,
but that let Threenaps close the gap with a terrific 2nd with Westover in the Arc
and 14.30 points to place him with 20 points of the podium on 486.73 points.Sultans Of Swing was another shrewdy to benefit from Highfield Princess and the
29.90 points and jumps a couple of places to 5th on 476.79 Points.Well those are the movers in the top 10, a few points below but no major moves
up the table. Some decent racing at Newmarket, Ascot and the Curragh which includes a few league
worthies, so possibility of some movement next week. All the best to all and good luck with your stables

Seems there’s no stopping Carlisle Are UP at the moment who seems to
be spirelling towrads the stratosphere like a pair of binary stars, with
the majestic Inspiral. Another 28.26 points and has Mickey setting a pace
like Crisp, is Nathan his Red Rum or will the post come in time this time
round? Time will indeed tell. Almost there Mickey with just the final jump
and that run round the corner. Leading points total, 666.51. The mark of the
beast might just be enough. Very best of luckBlackbeard I’LL Ave EEE decided to have a week in the stables, but I don’t
think they were resting up for this weekend, there’s zilch running for Nathan
and it looks like it’s going to come down to the last day of the competition
next week with 4 Group 1s, and a group 2 on Champions Day on the 21st. Mickey
has got the march on you at the moment Nathan, but a lot of your big guns, in
fact a lot of everybody’s big guns are out on the last day. Sit tight Nathan,
it’s going to be a nerve jangling finale. Best of luck mateVery little movement in the League this week although Mom’s Summer Flatters was
another with Inspiral and the 28.26 knocks Threenaps off the podium and has nicked
into 3rd place. Very nice move MOM. You might need a hellava score on Champions
Day but stranger things happen at sea, or say they say, never having been a sailor
myself I wouldn’t know, although I’ve known…….anyway we’re getting off the point,
it’s still there to be won. Good luck MomNo other movement in the league, although Midnight landed a very nice one with
Rohaan who won in the big handicap at Ascot like a group horse thrown in with
Clydesdales the way he went past everything in the last furlong. He could just
land a nice race on Champions Day. Great Pick MomWell this weekend doesn’t look like it’s going to change a lot, which mean next,
and last, weekend will sort the wheat from the chaff.Very best luck to all this weekend, and then get ready for the big one

196.63October 17, 2023 at 03:17 #1666958Whilst I’m sure the week was a little disheartening for a few, it
wasn’t really unexpected. Not that there wasn’t some class acts on
show at the weekend but unfortunately they were of the 2yr old variety
and unless you had a crystal ball they weren’t going to get picked up
at the start of this competition. Consequently the total points achieved
by the league was nil points. So here we are, this is it, the lady of rather agreeable proportions
is just about to sing. Carlisle Are Up has been holding onto that lead
like a comfort blanket for a while now and with not a soul in the league
managing a point, he’s still the Head Honcho and can almost smell that
fifty quid. You’ve kept them all at bay Mickey and you’re heading for
the elbow, but can you hear those hooves behind you or are you going to
finish like City of Troy still on the bridle. Best of luck mateNathan, Blackbeard I’ll av EEE, poses the biggest threat. Some of you
that have looked at both stables may think it’s a fait accompli, but
as it happens, there’s a chink of light. They both have Paddington and
therefore he’s out of the equation but Nathan has Tahiyra in the QEII
Stakes, a bonus race therefore a win is worth 50 points. The other which
CAU doesn’t have is Shaquille who runs in the Group 1 Champion Sprint Stakes,
worth another 25 points. Yes I hear you guffaw with feet up on the table,
quaffing your Chateauneuf-du-Pape (Hmmm, that could be Buckie actually)
proclaiming, “but that’s not enough BigG, he’s 90 points behind.” Indeed
he is but there is still the little matter of the tote dividend on every
horse at £1 e/w. So is it feasible he could make up the extra 15 points.
Absolutely. If either of Nathan’s horses drifts out on the tote, and I’ve
seen some odd odds on the tote, then there is the chance that lady luck
might just smile on him. Best of luck Nathan. So it’s a 2 horse race, well no actually it isn’t. I’m blunting my pencil
trying to work out the permutations. Okay, just bear with me. If Mom’s
Summer Flatters were to win the Champion Sprint Stakes with Shaquille,
25 points, and if Freewind wins the Fillies and Mares Stakes, 25 points.
This is where it gets a bit head scratchy. If Tihiyra wins the QEII Stakes,
50 points, and Nashwa doesn’t run in it (double entered) but were to run and
win the Champions Stakes, 50 points, that’s 150 points. That would bring him
2 points behind CAU. Add in the tote dividends for all them and I’d have no
doubt that would overtake CAU. Could it be done?, could Foinavon win the
Grand National?. Hang in there MomOf course, all this is incidental if Paddington or Inspiral win for Carlisle Are
UP, but as I said last week, stranger things have happened at sea…..let’s
not get into that again. So unless I’m very mistook, it’s all down to the 3 on the podium. Carlisle
Are Up has to be the hot favourite. Tree Of Liberty holds the unenviable
holder of the biggest odds on loser at 1/20, so who am I to say. Best of
luck guysFor everyone else, it makes a huge difference to have so many good punters
and general lovers of horses. I have to thank you all for taking part and
hope you can end off the flat on Champions Day at Ascot, or anywhere else
for that matter, with a flourish. It’s been a blast. Oh and Jac, if the
points haven’t come for Mawj by morning, I’ll get into their ribsHere are the penultimate league scores as per the TTTF (flat)

196.63October 18, 2023 at 12:50 #1667066Thanks for the Flat competition and regular updates, BigG.
For info, the 2023-24 Tote TTF Jumps game is set to be open for entries from Tues 31 Oct. Scoring begins after the deadline, 11am on Sat 18 Nov.
October 18, 2023 at 21:09 #1667105Thanks for that Sam, I’ll have something in place well in time
for the start of the jumps competitionOctober 18, 2023 at 21:34 #1667114Jac, a flea put in their ear and the scores for Mawj are up.
A nice move up 1 place to 5th. A place on the podium is not
out of the questionOctober 20, 2023 at 21:09 #1667329A belated thank you Graham for getting Mawj’s points recognised..
I did send an email myself but to no avail as when they replied I got the impression they didn’t know she had won and thought she was running this Sunday and went on to say that no points would be awarded for horses running after October 21st as the competition had ended
Obviously once they heard BigG was on the case the points materialized like magic…thank you one place up the leaderboard is welcome and hoping Tahiyra, Running Lion and Paddington go well tomorrow for the Dark Angels.
It’s been great fun Graham and good luck to the three left fighting out the finish tomorrow.. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 21, 2023 at 10:36 #1667397I was wondering when mawj points would appear. Should be a fabby day. Guess I’ve been lucky with only only two mo shows. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings though. No offence to fat ladies intended.
October 21, 2023 at 14:51 #1667536You are welcome Jac, I’m sure they must be sick of
the sight of me, but if it gets the job done that’s
what mattersOctober 21, 2023 at 14:56 #1667540You’ve been keeping the rest at bay for a while Mickey, just
the last day and you’ve got to be favourite.
Well done and best of luckOctober 21, 2023 at 21:03 #1667668Apologies for keeping everyone waiting,I was out and about.
Anyway, without any doubt and keeping his nerve for weeks
of leading the league and without further ado, the winner
of the TRF Tote Ten To Follow (flat) 2023 is……….Carlisle Are Up
Very well deserved Mickey, superb effort and I’ll get in touch
with you on PM about those lovely 50 SmackersGreat effort by Blackbeard I’ll av EEE to catch Mickey, but even
for a legend of the calibre on Nathan couldn’t quite get there.
Terrific run you had Nathan, very well down mate in 2nd placeIt was Three Naps that made the move that toppled MOM. The stiletto
to mom’s chances was Facteur Cheval who ran a cracker behind Big Rock
in the QEII and the 16.75 points was enough to claim that third percious
place on the podium. Well done to Three Naps for that final telling thrust
and bad luck for MOM being toppled off.All others remained in their places with some picking up a couple of points.
So that’s it, a tightly fought league and a well deserved winner in Mickey
Thanks to all who signed up and made it a thoroughly enjoyable competition.
And just as one finishes, another looms with the Jumps season. I’ll get that
organised and hope we might have all the gang back for that and perhaps even
a few more.So for the last time this Flat Season, here are the final scores as per
