It was all going so well was so looking forward to seeing him run again.

Well done Neil and Nathan in 1st and 2nd place and thanks for tbe update Graham…apart from Auguste Rodin and Tahiyra my Dark Angel’s are floundering now. Even Mawj seems to have gone on her holidays  Jac

It’s a damned shame Jac and I should certainly have had him in my ten.
It was my intention, but to get the league started I took the auto pick
meaning to change them all around…..then forgot

If I were to win (extremely unlikely) it will be a total fluke

Those auto pics are pretty good Graham but do need a little tweaking.
Hope the swap window comes soon for us, I certainly can’t seem to do ought right at the moment.

Well done Neil and Nathan in 1st and 2nd place and thanks for the update Graham…

Thanks Jac, :good: However it’s a marathon not a sprint so the still time for someone like yourself (or) Chezza (cold shudder, there!) to overtake me. I’m currently 6th in the free list and if it was in the paid list I would be 55th. Quite proud of that!

Watched a bit of Royal Ascot at Lanzerote when sheltering from the heat which reached 33’C and the was a few names I’d recognized in my list, but internet connection was poor and didn’t want to occur roaming charges.

Saw what I assumed to be Chezza’s banker of the week go in too, Valiant Force.

    Week 4 Update

Neil (Flat Out) keeps hold of the top spot with the Irish Derby winner
Auguste Rodin. It looked like it should have been a simple task but was
a little more workman like than one might have expected. Nonetheless he
got the job done and the 52.31 points keeps Neil at the head of affairs
on 321.13 points. Excellent stuff Neil, you’re proving a hard man to catch :good:

Blackbeard I’ll av EEE, without the help of Auguste, had a blank week,
we all have them Nathan, which allowed Jac’s Dark Angels to slip up the
rail into 2nd place with the 52.31 points for Auguste Rodin’s win.
You’re breathing down Neils neck now Jac with a very healthy 248.63 points.
Such a pity Waipiro has headed to the land of the rising sun Jac, he would
no doubt add to his existing points. However, 248.63 points isn’t to be sniffed
at and there’s a long way to go. Keep it up :good:

Quite easy to sum up the rest, if you had Auguste Rodin you held your place,
down to 7th place and below that you equally held your place because you scored
hee haw (as they say in Scotland).

The Coral-Eclipse is the race of the day on Saturday. There were 30 down for this
but as expected it’s developed into a single figure runners race (6). On the face
of it, it looks like a match between Paddington and Emily Upjohn. Both are well
represented in the league, so a few moves could be expected. The Lancashire Oaks
looks a mixed bag and not very appetizing at that.

Best of luck, if you’ve got Paddington or Emily Upjohn you’ve probably got a 50/50
    chance :good:

Hello to all of you – I hope that you are all well and safe.

Of all the Fantasy Competitions that I have tried and mainly
failed at over the years this one remains my Number One.
This year I decided on entering 1 Free List & 4 Paid Ones
to provide some interest over the season. It would appear that
my big mistake in the short term was to enter the wrong list
    in this sub competition. :negative:

I would have some hope that come the end of the season that I would
have improved my standing from being the wooden spoon to a more
respectable middle of the table place.

Many Thanks for now :good: :bye:

“It would appear that my big mistake in the short term was to enter the wrong list

Wouldn’t be too hard on yourself. I entered 2 in the competition and it’s 50-50 which one I put in here. One just needs a bit of luck that it’s the best one. This year I haven’t by the look of it. My other list currently has 261.71 which would’ve put it in current 2nd spot here.

To say Chezza’s unhappy with how this is going so far is the understatement of the feckin’ millennium.

Westover – Finally won, but in the softest Group 1 in a million years, Chezza himself could have made the frame in it. Well, in a car.

Luxembourg – Humiliated by Mostahdaf at Royal Ascot.

Coltrane – Slow old boat. Chezza reckons he could beat it over 50 metres himself.

Chaldean – What was THAT on Sunday? Jesus.

Savethelastdance – Onepaced mudlark bitch. She’d better win the St Leger!

Little Big Bear – Clumsy git can’t even walk round a paddock without bruising his foot.

Arrest – Possibly even slower than Coltrane, ffs!

Bay Bridge – Needs a quagmire to win another race.

Military Order – Disappeared without trace. Might make the next Jumps TTF along with Arrest as Triumph horses, I suppose.

    Chezza hates this game!

Fear not Chezza, your slowpokes have made it into the top 10 in the
league. I think you’re due an upturn. I reckon Coltrane will win the
Goodwood Cup. He’ll put up his sail :good:

    Week 5 update

No points for Neil (Flat out) but he’s still at the head of the league,
although the pack is closing. Watch your back Neil

Blackbeard I’ll av EEE had the f/c in the Coral Eclipse, Paddington (51.73 points)
and Emily Upjohn (12 points) to move up a place into 2nd with a total of
305.51 points and sits less than 16 points behind the leader. A very
significant move Nathan, well done :good:

The Dark Angels, despite having Paddington in their stable, dropped a
place to 3rd although only 5 points behind BIAE. You’ve maybe dropped
a place Jac, but you’re only some 20 points off the lead now.
    Hot at the top :good:

In a similar vein, Carlisle Are Up moved from 5th to 4th with the
help of our Peruvian friend whilst MOM moved down a place to 5th despite
having Emily Upjohn (12 points) and Westover going 1 better than he did
in the Coronation Cup by winning the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (27.55 points)
    just 6 days later.

Threenaps had a similar story with Paddington moving them up to 6th whilst
Sultans Of Swing had a blank week and moved 1 point aside to let Threenaps in.

Man Superstars and FF91 held their places in 8th and 9th with Paddington and
    Westover respectively.

Chezza’s Cheating Charlatans, despite Ian’s tag of “hopeless” spectacularly
burst into the top 10 (up from 11th) with the much decried Westover winning
over in Le Francais, denouncing Ian’s submission that he only had 3 legs B-)

Of the rest, Midnight had a nice move up from 15th to 12th with Paddington
again taking a bow, but very little movement below here and still myself
(onthebridle) and Numpty Plays The Flat at the rear of affairs but still
cantering along with a ton in hand ;-)

A good week for some if you had Paddington or Westover in your Stable and
with some pretty hot action from Newmarket, York and Ascot containing a
few good Group races there’s the chance of more movement this week.

Very best of luck all and here are the scores from the TTTF (flat) site.

    Week 6 Update

Well Flat Out is still top of the castle, throwing cows down on all and sundry,
and wafting (if you get my meaning) in their general direction. He’s every right
to as he had the brilliant Shaquille (54.80 points) who was like Usain Bolt on
speed leaving all in the July Cup in his wake. He’s surely going to add to that
tally Neil, what a find for your stable. 377.13 points. Just when it was geting
tight, Neil slips into overdrive and opens the gap again :yahoo: :

Blackbeard I’ll aav EEE, hasn’t given up the ghost yet and Hamish, a distant
cousin of mine, (although we don’t talk about it  ) hauled 17.55
points back in the Silver Cup at York to still be in Neil’s rear view mirror.
Soul Sister was a tad unlucky not to get her run at he right time over at
Longchamp (1.02 points for 3rd place) Still hanging in there Nathan with
    324.26 points :good:

Dark Angels sits tight on 300.36 points, keeping hold of that 3rd place,
but with Paddington, Moddern Games and Running Lion all set to head to
Goodwood shortly that may all change :good:

MOM steps up a place 4th spot courtesy of the mightly Nashwa who seemed to
be in a different league to the rest in the Falmouth, 31.60 points. I don’t
know if Gosden will thimk the Nassau Stakes will come too soon, or if he just
doesn’t fancy taking Blue Rose Cen on. Personally I wouldn’t blame
him. Total of 293.28 points but still a long way to go and close enough.

Carlisle Are Up, are one down to 5th with a nil points week. We’ll all
have them. Similarly Three Naps, Sultans of Swing and Man Superstars
failed to score and retain their 6th, 7th and 8th place.

FF91, like Blackbeard, was a bit unfortunate with Soul Sister and Chezza’s
Cheating Charlatans refuse to give up his 10th spot despite a blank week.

Everyone below 10th kept their places with no breakthroughs.

The Irish Oaks and the Hackwood Stakes at Newbury on Saturday give the
oppertunity for few to gather a few points but not a lot more to make
any significant dent in the league.

That’s about it for this week, be lucky and here are the scores as per

    Week 7 Update

Not too many horses out this week to bring about mega change
but enough to upset the top 3

Flat Out still has the drawbridge up and the alligators are
doing their job in the moat to keep him King of the Heap
despite a blank week. Neil’s stable is saving itself for
the King George VI and QE Stakes on Saturday on the hope
that Auguste Rodin can stretch his neck a little further
from the closing pack. Remains on 377.13 points.

The pack are indeed closing in the shape of Blackbeard I’ll
av EEE who pulled victory from the jaws of defeat with
Savethelastdance, trading at 999/1 at one point, (oh I wish)
who came late with what you would have to say was an immaculate
ride by Ryan Moore to take the Irish Oaks. More to the point
27.80 points to Nathan keeps him in 2nd place but with a total
of 352.06, now within one good winner of the leader. He might
just get that this weekend where he goes double handed into
the King George VI & QE Stakes with Emily Upjohn and a 100/1
shot Hamish. If the rain keeps coming I think Hamish is no
100/1 shot, and if it were to come up heavy he’s most certainly
not out of it. I’ve got my money on him so I hope it’s an inspired
pick from Nathan. Very well done sir :good:

Mom is doing it one step at a time. Moved up 1 place to 4th
last week and continued his march into 3rd this week, he was
another with Savethelastdance and I heard he’d joined the Ryan
Moore appreciation society, and who can blame him. So what are
the chances MOM can continue on his upward climb? well he’s
certainly not hindered by the fact he has Auguste Rodin, Emily
Upjohn and Westover in the previously mentioned KG & QE Stakes
on Saturday. Keep that ascent going MOM and every chance you
may very well after Saturday. What you wouldn’t give for the
tricast there. Best of luck :good:

Dark Angels was knocked off that 3rd spot and now sits just
behind them, but like Neil Jac has Auguste Rodin up her sleeve
for Saturday. Unfortunately Jac, MOM has AR in his stable too.
What a pity some of those Godolphin horses you have aren’t
running and Waipiro is off to the Land of the Rising Sun
Hopefully you will see a few out the following week at Goodwood
with Caernarfon and Running Lion in the Nassau Stakes and
Modern Games in the Sussex. You might just climb back on that
    podium :good:

Carlisle Are Up joined the happy throng with Savethelastdance.
He remains in 5th place, but he goes one better than M0M in that
he has FOUR up for the KG VI & QE Stakes which at this point all
run. I think Hukum will go off fav, and rightly so with the
conditions, he looks an absolute bull of a horse and will relish
the conditions. O’Brien has the other 3, Auguste Rodin, Broome
and Luxembourg. It depends what O’Brien sends, he’s a hard man
to second guess. I reckon you have a huge chance there CAU :good:

Three naps retains 6th place despite a blank week. Sultans Of Swing
was another with savethelastdance as was Man Superstars which was
enough to keep the pair in 7th and 8th place.

Chezza’s Cheating Charlatans is on the move again, up to 9th place and
wasn’t going to miss out on Savethelastdance. Westover and Luxembourg
carry the Chezza hopes into Saturday. Could Chezza’s decried Brighton
Beach Donkeys finally be getting the bit between their teeth

FF91 drops 1 (if you’ll excuse the expression) into 10th with a blank
week and like Chezza he has Westover and Luxembourg in the big one.

Of those below 10th only Edantony moved up 1 place to 13, with guess
    who? yep it was Savethelastdance.

Well I don’t have one running in the KG VI & QE Stakes (thanks auto-pick)
as I forgot to change it having stuck them in to get the league started.
That’ll teach me. However I do have a couple of decent bets on Hukum and
    Hamish at 7/1 and 100/1 E/W.

I hope a good few of us are lucky :good:
