It seems that some of their staff know more than others, I’ve just had
an email with the following info about the Transfer Window, which is
exactly what Coops was told yesterday ………….
Good Morning Mr Clark.
I have just heard that the TTF Transfer window is Fri 14th August midday to 10pm Tuesday 18th August.
If we can be of further service to you please do not hesitate to contact us.August 6, 2020 at 11:21 #1496402TongeParticipant

Great news. Pity it’s only 2!August 6, 2020 at 11:30 #1496404
Presume we start gaining points for horses swapped running after Tuesday 18th August and not before..JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 6, 2020 at 13:36 #1496411
That’s a good question Jac, and having read the rules they don’t specifically answer that
question. From what they do say, Horse B only begins to start scoring points for its new stable once that substitution is complete. So on the face of it it seems that the swap horse is live
immediately and the old horse, although you keep the points, is out of the equation as soon as
the transfer is made. They should have specifically stated who can win points within the window.
I know that Bobby (VTC) had problems from this very point in his Ten To Follow and had to introduce
a rule that horses substituted in would not start scoring until after the window has closed.
Without them being specific, I would just take the general rule they state that the substitution
is complete as soon as it’s made and therefore it collects points if it wins within the window.August 6, 2020 at 14:30 #1496417
Thanks for clarifying that Graham.
No big Group Races until TTF Bonus Race The Juddmonte on Wednesday 19th August so most players will no doubt be swapping in either Enable or Ghaiyyath if they don’t already have them but who will win?
Looking at the overall TTTF Leader and top 5 from Teleprompter down they do of course have the majority of the top scoring horses already in their stables so if anyone was looking to make headway on the Top Five you would need to find a dark horse who maybe hasn’t run yet and who nobody else has..That is a big ask so good luck to all with your swaps next week and make the right decisions. You’re right about the swap Jac, it could be time to throw caution to the wind
and unearth a hidden gem. Easier said than done thoughAugust 6, 2020 at 15:12 #1496428Nathan HughesParticipant

I spoke to someone at the Tote, horses start scoring straight away once they are put in, the replaced horses are deleted. Hope that helps.August 6, 2020 at 17:02 #1496435
That was the rule in the TRF 10 To Follow Mike, but i don’t recall them clarifying that last year.
If they did they have omitted to include it in the rules this time. I’ll try and get some clarification
from them but I think it is as per above.August 6, 2020 at 17:06 #1496436Mike007Participant

BigG I updated my above post after speaking to someone.August 6, 2020 at 17:22 #1496440
Hi Mike, I had a word with them and it is as I suggested ………
As soon as the transfer is done you stop scoring on the one you transferred out and start scoring on the one you transferred in.

Ah, we were obviously speaking to the tote at the same time Mike, so we’ve
both got it sortedAugust 11, 2020 at 09:40 #1496868
Week 8 Update
Well it’s going to be a short update this week, short and very sweet for
Free List who was the only one in the League to have the vision to recruit
the very useful Space Blues who came with an electrifying late run to take
the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest. We all take our hats off to you Free List
and sit head in hands, and our tongues hanging out at the very tasty 33.20 points
that you richly deserve If we had a podium, then the only
other stable that managed to clamber on to it was Bourne Losers who had the
runner up Hello Youmzain in the same race and although it doesn’t quite match
up to Free List, it still nets 6.40 Point which could be crucial at the tail end
of the competition. Nicely done Bourne, and it took a very decent looking one
to get past you
So very well done Free List, highest scorer in the League for the 2nd week
running and another move forward to 14th position.
Bourne Losers stay where they are in 12th
Not too much to take the eye of the league this week although from memory a couple,
At A Canter and Unbearables have Threat running in the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes
at Newbury on Saturday and Myself, On The Bridle, and Frankel1234 have Pierre Lapin
in the same race.
Apologies if I have missed anyone else having a runner, it would take too long to scour every race
here and over the briny to our French cousins.
Good luck with the few that we have this week, and don’t forget to get your transfers
in from Friday 14th until Tuesday 18th
Here is the league as it stands after week 8

Just had an email inviting me to “share my thoughts” on the Ten To Follow experience. The link doesn’t work, which sums up everything I wanted to say about the quality of their IT skills!August 13, 2020 at 11:45 #1497020
Ha Ha Tonge got it in a nutshell.
Now I’m wondering about swapping out two of my stable in the next 5 days.
Do I have to do both at the same time or can I swap one on say Saturday and save the other for Monday, I don’t want to get locked in after one swap had enough of that the last 5 months.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
