Some start to the turf flat season for Red Rum’s former partner. Four timer at the Curragh last Sunday and a double today at Leopardstown including the 2000 Guineas trial.

It’ll be well worth following Stack & Wayne Lordan over the next few weeks with Ballydoyle very slow from the blocks as they usually are at this time of year.

Good to see. He is a top class bloke who graced the Northern jumping scene for many years and has had to overcome meningitis which nearly killed him.

The early flat season in Ireland seems to be a goldmine if you can get your horses fit before Ballydoyle start getting serious. Bolger did the same last year and cleaned up.

The man’s operatin quare well at the moment! That horse in the trial was very impressive, but Viscount Nelson could be the one to take out of the race.

I would imagine that there will be no value to be had on any Stack horse in the next month. Rather than following them, the best strategy is perhaps to lay all them blind. For what it’s worth I genuinely think his runners on yesterdays card were poor value especially Ballygologue.

Won’t last, the big trainers are yet to come to hand.

Definatly taken advantage of this time of year though, fair play.

Kickback is correct, your post would have been a good one a couple of weeks ago Imperial Call, a bit like those now putting up Fahey & Hanagan after the weekend.
After the horse has bolted I’m afraid

Saw Big John making a beeline for Fuzzy immediately after the race.Probably the best son of High Chaparral racing in Europe and John would like to get his hands on him since HC is returning to Australia where he is very successful.
All the above is simply conjecture but I have nothing better to do.

Totally agree, I imagine he will be so much better over further…

Far from it my friend. I’ve been following them for the past two weekends getting my Cheltenham losses back with interest!

I don’t agree that they’ll all be poor value now. The winner of the maiden drifted out to 12s from 8s despite being the first race after Noll Wallop’s win. Ballygologue was backed but he was still widely available at 8s straight after that maiden and he placed too.

O’Brien’s 3yos will still go off at skinny odds for most races over here in the next month despite the fact that the majority of them will need the run. It happens every year and Prendergast and Stack usually clean up at decent prices.

Just thought I’d flag up a yard in scintillating form for posters who might not be overly familiar with the Irish Racing scene.

I backed the three of them yesterday IC – Noll Wallop, Mister Carter and Ballygollogue – annoyed since the NR in the last named’s race reduced the field to 15 runners and she finished fourth :(

He had another winner in the fillies maiden down at Mallow today. Lolly For Dolly was widely available at 6s this morning, was punted into 7/4jf and bolted up by 7 lengths.

Not doubting that Magnier wants to get his hands on noll wallop, but HC is just

    shuttling

to Australia, he will still be available in Europe for the northern breeding season.
