Maybe they’ll axe “Mornnnnnnnnning” too! Or perhaps even Amol Rojan himself? No that would be politically incorrect

Good grounds for keeping the Tip slot on Saturdays as it is a leisure day.
June 24, 2024 at 10:41 #1699797Is anybody really surprised; first it was the 5 Live racing news of an early morning, then BBC Sport dropping racing on TV, releasing their ‘racing correspondent’, shunting coverage to 5Live Sports Extra……

The BBC’s hostility to betting is now so unhinged that in its report on last year’s Melbourne Cup it concluded by saying the race was controversial because of issues around horse welfare “and its links to gambling”.

Who did the tips? If it’s someone off the train they’ve probably got about 20 other jobs to fall back on.
June 24, 2024 at 21:10 #1699867It will cause barely a ripple. You could argue it’s another chip off the thin end of the wedge but I personally think it’s insignificant. BBC’s days are numbered in any case you’d think the way the face of modern media is changing. Their model will be untenable soon enough I reckon.
