    Defi du seuil
    Politologue
    Un de sceaux
    Sceau royal
    Janika
    Waiting patiently
    Dolos
    Ornua

Cracking looking race, I have had a defi/min double for this weekend but the more I look at the race the more tempted I am to back my old mate un de sceaux

Best renewal of this in years, a cracker.

I’ll side with Politologue for an interest, but equally I’d love to see Un De Sceaux win, but looks like one to enjoy really.

    Politologue 5’s

Personally i still cant see by UDS, 9/2 looks big, DDS looks like he should go out to about 2/1-9/4 in this field, if UDS runs to his punchestown level he cant be beaten IMO

Excellent race and definitely one to enjoy. Defi Du Seuil being in my ten to follow is enough investment for me.

I think Un de Sceaux is a big price at 9/2. Runs well here and the going seemed pretty soft to me yesterday. Not entirely convined of Defi du Seuil over 2 miles yet.

    Un de Sceaux 9/2

Defis weakness is the same as altiors weakness

He jumps a bit high and slow for a 2 miler and has to make up ground on the flat

They went slow last time so he was fine but having to keep up with UDS may blunt his finishing kick, fascinating race

I’m a certified Politologue fanboy, so there’s only one horse I will be backing here!

As everyone else has said it’s a very good line up this year though, so hopefully we should get a good spectacle.

I’ve backed Waiting Patiently ew in the hope that the favourable ground this year keeps his knees happy and hopefully he he roll on and jump better. Also backed Politologue ew with the weight pull with Defi

But I kind of hope Un de Sceaux wins!

Janika won the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter really well last time out. He could be on
the upgrade and is worth a pop at 8/1.

Yes he belted one of the Railway fences but jumped well apart from that. I wonder where next for him.
    Well done anyone on Defi.

Slow jump at the last really cost UDS; what a warrior! But Defi keeps on winning

Felt the momentum UDS lost at the last cost him the race – I am still not convinced on Defi for the QM as if you compare last years race, UDS on ground much softer (race was 3sec slower than this years) was beaten far more decisively by Altior. Bear in mind Defi was also going into the race with the benefit of a run.

Assuming Altior reverts back to 2m at the festival the horse I think my have the greastest chance of beating him is the unexposed and inexperienced (runs chase wise) Chacun Pour Soi – we really don’t have any clue as to just how good he could/can be but hopefully over the Christmas period we will see him on his next step.

UDS is just incredible. One fall, one 5th and one 6th place in 33 starts. Otherwise he’s either 1st (23 times) or 2nd (6 times) and always running at the highest level.

How many horses have won Grade Ones at Fairyhouse, Punchestown and Leopardstown plus Cheltenham, Ascot, Sandown and Auteuil????

Hes an iron horse, probably my favourite in training flat or jumps

But the jump at the last didnt cost him the race for me

It actually almost cost defi the race as he got to the front earlier than geraghty wouldve wanted, like in the dipper vs lostintranslation

Imo defi wouldve won by further had UDS pinged the last as he wouldnt have got chance to idle in front
