Rocky Roberto has spent his entire life in racing, working on dog tracks and racecourses in and around London and beyond since his youth. He was born into the game, his grandfather made a book at Epsom. In this fascinating series of interviews he tells of a long gone era of sold out dog tracks, relays of tic-tacs from Tattenham Corner to the rails at Epsom and one-armed Lou who the bookies couldn’t beat. To whet your appetites, if you think you know tic-tac think again, here’s Rocky reliving the business from races at a long-gone Newbury Card. http://www.starsportsbet.co.uk/meeting-rocky-roberto/

    Good stuff Simon.

Just one point the photo you used of the Winning Post pub is actually in York not Brighton.

Great set of videos, enjoyed them immensely. Brings back memories of when the ring was the place to be, not stuck in front of a television playing the exchange on the notebook !! Thanks Simon.
