I might have alluded to it already somewhere zil! It depends on Howe many Liverpool score tonight. But I wouldn’t put anyone off that 6/1 as for sure the clubs figure head and a dead ringer for SAMantha the lady off bewitched will have twitched her nostrils a few times and sounded out a potential new manager already and there are plenty about waiting for that job. If they follow the Chelsea model not doing well in the champions league means dismissal. At least Eddie only has to worry about getting a vote of confidence as opposed to an invitation to the embassy for a cosy chat.

    Stoke vs Ipswich Town
Ipswich and stoke haven’t managed a goal between them for a while.
Stoke down to ten men now with twenty five minutes remaining, which throws Ipswich a life line….
    Can they take it?
    Ipswich to win @ 6/5
With Stoke having to throw players into defence, surely town can find space for the extra man and hopefully that extra man will be Connor Chaplin…

Well that was not a turn up for the books and Newcastle held out for the first half. But cracks are there for all too see.
The interesting stats saw Liverpool hit the target 🎯 15 times. Even more telling was their willingness to go for goal here are the stats for attempts on goal.
    Player Team Total
    D. Núñez Liverpool 8
    C. Jones Liverpool 5
    Mohamed Salah Liverpool 5
    D. Szoboszlai Liverpool 3
    T. Alexander-Arnold Liverpool 3
    C. Gakpo Liverpool 2
    W. Endo Liverpool 2
    A. Gordon Newcastle 1
    A. Isak Newcastle 1
    I. Konaté Liverpool 1
    L. Díaz Liverpool 1
    L. Miley Newcastle 1
    M. Almirón Newcastle 1
    R. Gravenberch Liverpool 1
    S. Botman Newcastle 1
    V. van Dijk Liverpool 1
This match is very significant as it is never lost on Liverpool fans that the outfit currently running Newcastle looked at Liverpool and identified Anfield as the club which best matched their aspirations as a business model to buy, but the club wasn’t available.
Thirty two shots and half of them (as good as) on target. The second penalty was dubious to be fair but VAR has a “kop out” in that the off field official will not undermine the referee. If this was Rugby the tackle and actual contact would be under scrutiny. It isn’t and there lies the area where VAR is open to manipulate and abuse intentional or otherwise.
Me? I’m just happy with the two penalties, one which “wasn’t”, which was scored and one which was, which was missed.

A nice return and now an international break and for some clubs a few big signings and for a couple a new boss when the winter break is over and football returns to a big freeze.

Entering the world of darts 🎯 tonight.
Keith Deller is still the local hero in these parts and it was magic to hear he’d been awarded the MBE long overdue.
Tonight’s world darts match see what may well be a sensational match if the youngster littler can keep up his form.
Listening to Deller’s interview, a brilliantly humble man and never once lost his focus after all this time and dedicated to helping others and has spent

The joy of youth. Without a care in the world. Confident and mature ahead of his time. An amazing protégée. Enjoy him now before he is eaten up at spat out core and all by a hungry media who will do their best to destroy this good lad.
Ironically Emma Radacanuu won ‘a match’ stateside today and the media are all over her. She has had more coaches than tiger woods has had cars (and clubs for that matter ) and is lost in showbiz thereby hangs the problem aligned to the showbiz an army of hangers on and life advisors the next injury is just around the corner.
Littler’s family seem to do a good enough job and hopefully Dad has a broad head on his shoulders because contracts and endorsements and tv appearances will be non stop heronin.

Tonight sees Everton travel to the smoke to take on Crystal Palace on a wet windy London night.
Everton received the potential poison chalice of a points deduction and to be fair a ten point chop for cheating relegation previously is little more than a slap of the wrist. The problem there though is if your results dip again you’ll always be looking at the ten point deduction hampering your progress. Hence the emphasis on Everton having got off so lightly is surely to concentrate on the league. Therefore the cup can hardly be of any importance to the toffees and huge preference has to be for the home side here.
Palace have had a truly poor season thus far but a good derby display and win over Brentford showed a new sharpness and boss Roy Hodgson deserves much better and a strong looking palace with few changes could deliver.
Palace to win on the 2up rule @ 29/20
Palace to score two plus goals @ 6/4

Pretty obvious there were 15 mins of additional time to play at the end but officials under fire from Everton fans as it was ran for cover. They realised no fan deserved to watched this match for any longer than the 9 mins they saw fit to add on. One of the worst betting matches I’ve ever been in and one I wished I’d never ever got involved in. Awful!! Credit to Everton who at least made a game of it but they not have worried about exiting and were there for the taking.

Neither spurs nor Everton could produce the necessary effort although Everton at palace did their followers proud and st least wanted to play.
Liverpool gawd bless ‘em always deliver.
    Wigan vs Manchester United.
Collectively united should win this comfortably.
Wigan should have their moments though and I take goalie ONANA to save three shots @ a generous 7/4

There was a huge opportunity to cash out on a profit when Man Utd’s keeper made his one save of the half after three mins. The offer was good but short of the winning amount by a long way and I’m inclined to forge on with faith in the initial assertion.
Man united won comfortably enough having missed a hatful of chances in the first half. Manchesters other half turned their superiority into goals and this half are not in the same stratosphere. If the players are lacking confidence Sir David Brailsford can inject some extra power in a jiffy he gave his cyclists at sky sports that extra buzz and they whizzed around the Tour de France 🇫🇷 despite never being able to breakthrough before.
You’ve got to take defeats on the chin along with the wins. It is very hard though when your definition of a shot on target is a cross come shot gathered in at the near post which is what happened. Whn your definition does not match that of the bean counters it becomes frustrating you haven’t been cheated by the bookie but the stat men. Subsequently when the save was made a few minutes later the third save was only the second one. 👎 .
All I can do is work that bit harder tomorrow. But the selection process was sound and I can do no more.

    Liverpool vs Fulham
    Fulham currently lead 0:1
To a will I am goal.
Low on shots in the first half trust Liverpool to storm back in the second stanza to win currently at 6/4 or the alternative is simply the reds to score 2+ goals.

    Liverpool to score 2+ goals @ 11/10.
After the win over Arsenal earlier in the week Liverpool need more time to recover from a very rough ride weathered well. Expect Fulham to consider parking the bus to land a 1- nil win to take back to. CRaven cottage. That in itself at Anfield is a recipe for disaster at the best of times. The longer this game goes on the more likely Liverpool going forward are going to hit the target 🎯

    Job done.
Two goals in the second half was all that was needed. You cannot wait to improve a 1/0 lead or Liverpool will score. There are more goals to come and hopefully Fulham can improve again. Regardless that is the end of my involvement here. Bet won.
