My point is that £15 million was raised over perhaps 4-5 years, plenty of people giving their time for nothing and thousands donating to a most worthy cause.

According to research by Fraser Nelson, so not exactly a raging lefty, only 0.3% of Reform’s donations come in gifts of less then £10,000. This is by far the lowest of the main parties (Labour stand at 6%, the Conservatives 10% and the Lib Dems a whopping 36%), yet Reform still try to portray themselves as the party of the ordinary working man.

The Unite union alone has given the Labour party over £50m over the course of the last few years. They’ve got the Employment Rights Act, not to mention big pay rises for bus drivers. If anybody is giving money to do political bidding, it’s the trade unions.
He seems to be critical of the Employment Rights Act and pay rises for bus drivers who, last time I checked, aren’t exactly paid a king’s ransom. Keep believing he’s on the side of working people if you want but the evidence against it is staring you in the face.
He also draws a false equivalence between a union, which is by definition a collective of people, and two very wealthy individuals.

I see the article links to news that a Reform MS has defected to Plaid (!) stating amongst other things that They are far more interested in division, opposition and headlines than in finding solutions and that they have no interest in Wales.
Whilst obviously true, this is not news. Happy to stand on that platform to get elected though.
I cant see reform getting close to govt. Those of left leaning or even in the centre of british politics despise farage and reform and showed at the last election the power of tactical voting. I can see a hung parliament and labour/lib dems and greens going into power together. Maybe even snp if burnham follows through on independence. Reform are a shambles from top to bottom. Lord knows what will come after them when they inevitably implode.

Which is why we never get an answer as to why people vote for these charlatans. The real reason is because the politics of Farage and his ilk gives them validation for their racist and xenophobic beliefs, they just don’t feel they can say that out loud. Many a slip up where they do accidentally say the quiet part has been recorded when Reform/Restore talking heads are doing the media rounds of course.
Ultimately they either don’t know or don’t care that should Reform, Restore (or even the Tories where they are currently) enter power their lives will in fact be made (even) worse, as long as forrins and brown people get it worse than they do.
