July 6, 2004 at 09:23 #53113Good luck today Rich – we deserve a decent run
July 6, 2004 at 12:10 #53114Some bad news I’m afraid. The Racing Post have radically altered their website and this will make it much more difficult, perhaps even impossible for me to continue generating selections for this system. I will confirm tonight, but the upshot is that this might be the last day for The RNF. :(

July 6, 2004 at 16:05 #53115Hi Rich,
Is the information you require not in the RP, or can you not get hold of the printed version. I get the RP every day (usually before 7.00 a.m.) and might be able to pass on information to you. Maybe others could help when I’m not available.
July 6, 2004 at 20:38 #53116According to the RP website Rich, everything that was there is still ther,e so it may just be a case of finding the correct link.

July 7, 2004 at 08:11 #53117:( Bad news indeed Rich if this is the end of the RNF. I sincerely hope you can carry on, I kinda like it! Even though June was a poorish month, I still turned a profit at BF and I’ve no doubt things will improve. Anyway, I just wanted you to know I appreciate all the work you put into this and to encourage you to try and carry on.
All the best and many thanks.
Alec
July 9, 2004 at 18:40 #53118I think Rich had the basis of quite a decent system and such things are very rare indeed so it is a great pity that he seems unable to get the information he needs to carry on.
I think Rich’s starting point was horses tipped up in the RP tipster’s summary box, but only tipped by ONE tipster from a select group.
I believe the group comprised RP ratings, Newmarket, The North, Rob Wright( The Times), Computerman, and Templegate.
The tip was then filtered using Rich’s rules and Adrian Massey’s ratings to provide a number of selections which were usually at decent odds if they obliged.
I think the reason for the system’s success lies in the fact that the selections are very seldom overbet. IMO, this is an essential condition for a successful system.
Even the tipping lines that advertise their success in the RP are rarely tipping horses below 8/1.
July 10, 2004 at 17:00 #53119You’ve got about five per cent of it Artemis – well maybe ten  But there’s a lot more to it than that!
Anyone interested in my RNF system and the possibility of following it long term should look at the following post on a thread on the Massey forum ….

It would be interesting to see what people think.
As always, Be Lucky!

July 11, 2004 at 18:00 #53120Hi Rich,
I wasn’t trying to blow the cover on your system and knew that there was much more to it than just finding out horses that only one tipster has selected.
I’ll have a look over on the Adrian Massey forum and see what’s doing.
Best of Luck
