Today mightn’t have done much for the SR, bit it did plenty for all the profit figures, which is all that matters in the end!
The only piece of bad news is that another of my ‘filtered’ selections (there were only two) won at 8/1 today, so it could have been even better, those bloody filters have cost me about ten points LSP now! I will persevere with them but if too many keep winning I’ll have to take a view on dropping them – if I hadn’t have introduced them, and had put up that 17/2 winner I somehow missed, the LSP would be over 50 now this month. Still, a level stakes profit of nearly sixty on SuperOdds ain’t too bad I guess!

May 30, 2004 at 10:09 #52979Another excellent performance Rich, with the bad luck (sh etc etc) you could have had an even more amazing month – still two days to go, heres for another 22/1 shot today :cheesy:
May 30, 2004 at 11:30 #52980Sorry for the delay, been watching American Idol final which I missed on Friday! A few more big prices to tickle your fancy today, and three filtered ones which I’ll report back on later.

May 30, 2004 at 14:35 #52981Pleased to see you’re getting priorities right. I fell asleep watching the tv on friday night, before the result and had to watch it yesterday. That Fantasia is some singer.
Another good day, Rich. Well done.

Half Inch becomes the second of our selections to finish 2nd after being hampered close home by the winner, but the interference wasn’t nearly as bad as that which cost Illusive his race a couple of weeks back and at the end of the day there was no axe-murder, no body parts were left strewn on the course, so therefore the result was never going to be changed!
Two more seconds and a third, while the one that did win, not unlike a couple of the others, was an absolute knockover having been 9s from 14s a minute before the off and then chopped further into 7/1 in no time at all! Thank God for Betfair!
Still, it’s an SP profit. Roll on tomorrow.

May 30, 2004 at 17:15 #52985Good day all round, profit – but unlucky with 3 seconds, next month they will be winners (I hope) and my City Brighton win the play off
May 31, 2004 at 11:18 #52986Let’s hope for that end of month flourish!

One point to make, though, is it just me or did Frankie simply not try to win on Excellento? It wasn’t anything like the ‘Schumacher-Barrichelo’ type antics seen in the Irish Derby when Dalakhani’s jockey Soumillon positively stopped his horse to let the Aga Khan’s other runner Alamshar win on home turf for a home jockey, but very little effort nevertheless.

May 31, 2004 at 17:04 #52988May Summary
We had a bit of a bumpy ride over the course of the 216 posted selections didn’t we?! But hopefully you all had a bit of fun (and made a bit of money!) along the way. An LSP of 33.83, which should have been 42.33 because of the 17/2 winner I somehow managed to miss, and an LSO of 58 (67), is decent enough but it was the 171 points on the staking plan using SuperOdds which showed the way – although anything up to 200 points (100 to level stakes) extra could have been earned on Betfair!
Given the good first half to the month it could have been a lot better though, with an unusually high number of placed efforts and quite a few close seconds, a couple of which in particular we had every right to be rather agrieved about – and I certainly was! But that’s in the past now so let’s look forward to a prosperous June!!!
Be Lucky!

June 1, 2004 at 11:04 #52989I forgot to mention another filtered one lost yesterday, there are two today. Here’s hoping we see the new month in with winners from the list below and not from them!

June 3, 2004 at 08:38 #52993Hi Rich
Long term view in this game. A 12/1 winner (18.7 on Betfair) is lurking somewhere today or tomorrow. It’s written in the stars. I’m strictly a form/speed/ratings man but I have the feeling your system might shake my faith (well, almost).
