Who among us hasn’t sat on a dead horse to take a phone call at some point or other?
That’ll be pretty much all of us, I should imagine.
I agree with TTC – just not doing it will suffice.
I’m expecting the Portland winner for the Saturday hat-trick, TTC – no pressure!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 5, 2021 at 18:40 #1559247Based on Envoi Allen’s last two runs, how do we know he is a star? He has still never won outside of novice company and to my mind has questions to answer.
September 6, 2021 at 12:41 #1559283I see in the racing post that he has started commenting on his return ” I just hope people can forgive me ” etc etc , I hope he has a thick skin because no doubt he,s going to have to deal with a lot of stick and negativity , if he has any sense he,ll put some of his future winnings towards some horse welfare charity’s or similar , I’ll be very interested to see how he is greeted in the Cheltenham winner enclosure come March …and how ITV deal with it

Most will have pretty much forgotten about it by then. ITV will deal with it as normal, how would you expect them to deal with it?

It would make good viewing if there was a lot of loud booing, but that is extremely unlikely to happen IMO
September 6, 2021 at 13:10 #1559290I’m not convinced Tank , this will prob the first time he,ll be in front of the British public and I wouldn’t be surprised if there isn’t some negativity

Maybe he won’t attend and pass the reins to Sneezy or Dopey or whoever?
Can’t see that myself, though, he needs to tough it out.
September 6, 2021 at 13:43 #1559295He,ll not miss Cheltenham , he’s making himself heard now and will be hoping it,ll blow over quickly
September 6, 2021 at 13:46 #1559297like most things in life it just needs Time.
September 6, 2021 at 15:43 #1559306If racegoers could boo a Ryan Price Schweppes winner in the 1960s, they could definitely boo a trainer here in 2021.
It’s extremely rare, but it has happened and might just happen again.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 6, 2021 at 19:45 #1559328We may not have sat on a dead horse, etc, Ian but I’m sure most, if not all, of us have made some stupid errors in our past.
His has been brought, unlike most of ours, into full public spotlight and he’s paid for it dearly, if not with the pseudo ban, then with the damage done to his reputation and with the loss of many good horses and valued owners.
I do agree it is likely there will be a negative reaction at Cheltenham but I also expect he’ll have plenty supporters there too.
You can’t hold a man down without staying down with him. So said Booker T Washington and true enough it is.
September 6, 2021 at 19:49 #1559329At least you understood my sarcasm, unlike whoever reported my posting for inappropriate content.
I won’t be booing the fella – it wouldn’t change anything and would say more about me than about him if I did.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if a few did and, if so, big Gordy needs to take it on the chin(s).
Rough/natural justice and all that.
Seldom a dull moment in this game.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"September 6, 2021 at 21:32 #1559344I previously said that I thought the penalty was long enough, but had wrongly been thinking it had been a year already. A year feels about right to me.
He has lost some high profile horses (good), and I agree it would be very welcome to see him show some more visible penance involving racehorse welfare. However, I expect it will all be largely forgotten about in a couple of months.
September 6, 2021 at 21:38 #1559346He will be back with a bang, Foster has been a disaster. Could have been stage-managed for a triumphant return for Elliot. Nothing would surprise me.

September 6, 2021 at 21:40 #1559347Sneezy’s certainly got a few down the Handicap for him.

September 7, 2021 at 07:13 #1559383The nearest sneezy got to the hot seat was going over it with a feather duster …..reminds me of phoenix nights when they reopened the phoenix , Jerry’s name was over the door but potter still called the shots , ” Come get your black bin bags .. ”
