The slightly quirky Walkon usually goes very well fresh and has a fine chance of lifting this if he races prominently and isn’t left with too much ground to make up.
The 9/2 with W Hill is especially attractive through their mobile app or the RP app as they return stake as free bet if 2nd.
Edgardo Sol and Astracad the dangers.
October 26, 2013 at 08:18 #456206I never back horses simply because of their name but being a Liverpool fan and with Walk On running at Aintree, surely he’s destined to win?
October 26, 2013 at 08:28 #456208Surely then you have to do him in a double with Spirit of Shankly at Aintree tomorrow!
October 26, 2013 at 11:03 #456250Astracad proved a rather expensive horse for me last season, but this race seems to really scream his name. I’ll have a saver on him.
Walkon seems custom made for this event and is rather well treated in my opinion. His name stood out to me when the entries were announced, so he’ll have pride of place in my ‘Saturday Lucky 15’

Aaah i just love the Autumn!
October 26, 2013 at 17:30 #456314That’s probably on the sharp side for Walkon these days, judging by the way he ran before unseating, on and off the bridle.
I wouldn’t write him off for the National, which is going to be a changed race now the fences are much less intimidating for jockeys. He’s the type who, if his jock held his nerve, could be hunted round the first circuit as they used to do, while the hectic pace-setters burn everything else off.
I like Thornton, but prefer Wayne Hutch
