Tuesday August 3
Once again hopes were raised only to be dashed by Odds Checker’s available prices.
Catterick 4.30 (Claiming Stks) EIJAAZ
Won 1/2
1LTO C & D Fc as 2/1 fav
Odds Checker’s best early available price 10/11

Catterick 2.30 (Seller) Strikemaster
LOST
3LTO D & BF 15/8 fav
Almost made it at 15/8 just short with my daily paper but thought worth looking on Odds Checker but early prices are even worse at 11/8

The Majestic feels like it is enduring a barren run at the present, a cyclic phenomenon peculiar to systems which all systemites should be familiar with.
Once again some very mixed signals where several races do not have the 2/1 minimum requirement for the forecast fav.
One that does clear the first hurdle: –
Newcastle 2.20 (NURSERY) WATER ICE
LOST
1LTO "D" 3/1f
It is ALL there but I do like to see favouritism in the real market where IMO it really does count.
Am pleased to have swerved this one but the winning derth continues.

In my haste I did not mention the above race was a NURSERY.
Sorry about that.

Nothing is quite ticking ALL the boxes these days and I guess today’s possible selection leaves the question of "Do I or don’t I) open.
Redcar 3.40 (NURSERY) KRYPTON FACTOR 4/1 2f with Odds Checker
LOST
Forecast 3/1 fav (D. Mail) 1 LTO Previous Distance winner

August 10, 2010 at 11:09 #312005Hi Billion,
Just thought I’d mention that a nursery is a 2yr old H’cap.
I thought H’caps were excluded.
FrankAugust 11, 2010 at 10:25 #312165Hi there
nedloh
,
Now here is a funny thing, although this point has been raised and so thought it best to bring it to the attention of any interested party when posting, they can then make up there own mind should they wish to risk a shilling or not.
This is the funny thing and perhaps you may be able to shed some light here. Since posting (NURSERY) or not I have spotted some races are described as NURSERY HANDICAP whilst other races simply NURSERY. On the days when I spotted NURSERY HANDICAP I did not post.
It is also a problem with forecast prices, the D.Mail as used by myself may or may not show 2/1 but this may differ from RP or any other paper, to remain consistant I do continue with the one forecast.
I hope you can bare with me and thus choose to bring your own skill to any bets you make and gain for this reason I feel it is wrong for me to show any profit/loss and only edit to win or lose.

August 11, 2010 at 11:11 #312173Hi Billion,
All nurseries are H’caps, whether or not it says it in the race title. Manys a run in I’ve had with bookies over ew bets in such races.
It was this day a month ago when my pc went "sick", so fingers crossed. So far in August: 73 selections and 8.20 pts @ sp. and 15.97 pts @ BFsp (5% commission deducted).
FrankAugust 11, 2010 at 14:49 #312239Well
nedloh
, it looks as if you are in-profit, well done

I will continue to state the type of race and leave it entirely at the discretion of the players as to how they choose to interpret the rules.
All selections posted are so called "Distance" winners which is an option I chose to implement whereas others may not.
Although "The Chosen One" must shown as the morning paper (RP etc.) favourite I again prefer the endorsement of the Odds Checker market, although I do understand this may change throughout the day until race time.
On reflection, perhaps my interpretation of the rules have become varied from the original I think I will allow this "chapter" to wilt and die and slowly slip back into the archives and then I can start a variant where the rules are clearly stated.
Anyone can continue posting selections here and it will be interesting to watch and see any divergence of profit.

September 1, 2010 at 11:11 #315352Update 45 days Stats 15 days in July & 30 days in August.
Darrell posted this in 2002
"THE SYSTEM SELECTS ONLY HORSES THAT FINISHED 1ST 2ND AND 3RD ON THEIR LAST START ONLY,
ALSO THE SELECTION MUST BE QUOTED AT 2/1 OR MORE IN THE BETTING FORECAST.WHEN I SAY 2/1 I MEAN THE HORSE AS TO BE EITHER THAT PRICE 2/1 OR OVER.SEE EXAMPLE BELOW.RAINBOW HIGH 6/4 RIGHT WIN 7/4 PERSIAN PUNCH 2/1 DOUBLE TRIGGER 7/2.PERSIAN PUNCH WOULD BE THE SELECTION PROVIDING IT WAS PLACED IN 1ST 2ND OR 3RD LAST TIME OUT, IF NOT THEN IT IS NOT A SELECTION. DOUBLE TRIGGER WILL NOT BE SELECTED BECAUSE PERSIAN PUNCH DID’NT QUALIFY, SO THE SELECTION PROCESS STOPS AND NO OTHER SELECTION MADE IN THAT RACE."
So using this and the Sporting Life’s Racing Center race cards for the tissue prices.
All Non-Handicaps GB & Ireland.
Races = 340 Wins = 105 SR = 30.88%
Profit = 14.40 pts @ SP 41.68 pts @ BFsp (5% comm. deducted)
Two interesting stats.
AW races = 33 runs 2 wins SR=6.06%
Loss =Turf Maidens only
Runs = 106 Wins = 42 SR = 39.62%
Profit = 42.88 pts @ SP 59.24 pts @ BFsp (5% comm. deducted)September 1, 2010 at 15:49 #315410Lots of info here

November 2, 2011 at 11:00 #375587Hi to all my old friends daz is back, hello mr.E billion, dave, and anyone ive missed you all.
I thought i would rekindle the old majestic system, for this jumps season, give it a good crack, ive been keeping track of it the odd day its still throwing up the winners. I will use the racing post for selections even thou the orignal method used the sun newspaper,me and mr.E agreed to use the post as most of the members would prefer to use.So here are the rules to refress your memory.
1,Use racing post paper or racing post web page at2,Main meeting of the day,this is the one with highest prize money meeting of the day.
3,All none handicap races.
4,Favourite priced at 2/1 or more.
5,Placed 1st 2nd or 3rd last time out,current season form only.
6,Should have won at the distance, but this is optional,we did leave it out.
7,If your selection happens to be a course and distance winner i would recommend you double your usual stake.
I would racommend 1 point stakes each bet, stop at a winner.
Well there you have it,lets hope it is still doing the goods.
I will post selections up for thursday 3rd november up later tonight or early thursday morning.Regards and best wishes to you all.
Daz.
November 2, 2011 at 12:06 #375611Hello Daz you old sod, it’s good to see that your still around….
I was only saying to one of the guys that Ward 7 was missing some of the old members, it’s really good to see that your still in the land of make believe…..
We have to be careful on here though, things have changed over the years because it appears that (according to Nathan), cross dressing is now allowed and Billion has taken full advantage of matron lifting that restriction and you’ll now find him dancing about in a frock and frilly knickers….
you need to bear in mind that, although Matron is a lot older, he has NOT become any wiser and his inner sanctum is still a place to be feared….. you should be pretty safe if you wear garlic around your waist at all times, Matron hates the taste of garlic….. welcome back Daz, it’ll be great to see the Majestic up in lights again…..
