Thursday July 29
With 9 selections today a reduction process has had to be implemented and so once more the system starts to become a method and so today there are now five selections which I hasten to add has become my favourite number producing 10 doubles, 10 trebles and 5 fourfolds.

July 30, 2010 at 15:35 #309991hello all , new member today ,
found the majestic system very interesting so thought i’d have alook at today’s cards and found in the 3.45 at bangor two horses , totoman at 6/4 and saltagioo at 7/2 both distance winners and in top three last time out and sticking to the rule of 2/1 or over i backed saltagioo which obliged nicely .
, did notice that in listed races there seems to be many horses that fit the bill and wondered what do you do in these situations .
have found in the 4.55 at bangor is another candidate called niamh’s way who was 12/1 but is now showing 9/1 who won 2 starts ago but was 28l 10/20 last time out so may just watch this one .July 30, 2010 at 16:02 #309996Hello
chuckypud
,
The Majestic rules are: –
NON handicap races only
Forecast Favourite (only) I would say it is easier to stick with the one forecast say RP – Mirror – Sun etc. I use the D Mail.
Forecast Price is 2/1 or more
Distance winner is optional but I do use it as a solid filter
1, 2, or 3 in previous race
=========================================================
For interest only I do post other selections which almost fit the rules and leave any interested reader to make their own mind up. This is
wrong
of me because I guess it can cause confusion.
Where I do have a major problem is when the forecast price beats the 2/1 cut but then is not available, I understand the 2/1 is considered to be thought of as the line between profit and loss but many a winner can be found below the 2/1 cut off.
The rules make the system and I guess the variants make it a method

Anyway, nice to hear from you and welcome and I hope it helps you find a winner or two.

August 2, 2010 at 10:17 #310536Hi Billion,
I had a total outage around the 11/7/2010, so I’m not able to return figures for July. But will record for August, all going well,
But I can say there will be a lot of selections, from the 10 or so days I got in July and some kind of form, (D), (C), (CD) does seem to make a difference to P/L. 10 selections yesterday and over 14pts profit to BFsp.
Cheers FrankAugust 2, 2010 at 10:22 #310539in that carlisle race billion , its showing thrust control as favourite at 2/1 on racing post site but doesnt say d winner although it does say is 7f winner but this race is almost 8 furlongs all but 20 yards . jupiter fidius is 5/2 2nd fav and won last time out and is a d winner. and also miami gator is running again after winning so well on saturday night , so certainly is a confusing one.

,
You have quoted the RP which is fine I do believe the original concept was changed to the RP forecast. I guess for continuity it is better to use the one forecast nomatter which it is. For me The Daily Mail.
Again the original concept was without a DISTANCE win and was put in as an option, should you choose to exclude this you will be more in line with the original thinking.
If you, for whatever reason, prefer the 2nd favourite to the systems forecast favourite I suggest you are changing the system to a method. Perhaps any other members have some thoughts regarding when a system becomes a method.

is welcome and I guess we shall all just have to wait. I hope the outage was not too painful, it can be arranged for

to visit you if need be.
