Does anyone know please
January 22, 2009 at 15:43 #205735Might be worth reading back through the "An Old Boy I Know Swears This Makes Money" thread in the Systems section of this forum, as the success of that particular system seems entirely dependent on at least one favourite going in per day.
Just trace back to the last date in that thread on which the theoretical bank there took a £2500 decrement.

January 22, 2009 at 19:11 #205799I don’t think there has been a day in the last 13 months, but I could be wrong.
January 23, 2009 at 02:01 #205918The person who might be able to answer that isn’t on here any more but you can email him at iliveinacardboardboxnow.com
January 23, 2009 at 03:11 #205933I’d suspect it wouldn’t have been too long ago.
January 23, 2009 at 04:34 #205948The same poster put the identical query on the Betfair forum a couple of days ago. I feel a Martingale coming on.
January 23, 2009 at 04:35 #205949I hear it’s actually illegal for there to be no winning favourites in a day.
January 23, 2009 at 14:26 #206006There was a day 2 years ago at Yarmouth and i think lingfield (cannot remember date sorry) where one never won as was doing a favourite system at time and very luckily had missed this day! though did loose my profits not long after with a run of 13 non winning favourites on a very gloomy saturday back in last winter.
January 24, 2009 at 04:15 #206150No winning favourites on Christmas day
January 24, 2009 at 04:52 #206161Not 1 days racing in 2007,2008 and 2009 that didn’t have a winning favourite

The worst day for Favs was recently, the 4th of Jan 2009, with only 1 winning Fav, granted only Southwell was racing that day. The best was 27th Aug 07 with 21 winning Favs that day.
I’ll do pre 2007 when I get a chance.
January 24, 2009 at 18:37 #206256I was laying horses on I think it was boxing day or maybe the day after. I dont think any won on that day. (2008) 18 races
January 24, 2009 at 18:58 #20625915 favs and 2 joint favs won on Boxing Day 2008 alastair
8 favs and 3 joint favs won on the 27th Dec ’08January 25, 2009 at 04:05 #206366"Not 1 days racing in 2007,2008 and 2009 that didn’t have a winning favourite "

Nice to see you were paying attention over the festive period, Alistair. Although, given your admission that you thought no favourites won on one of the two days mentioned, are you now sure that you didn’t lose a packet?
Are there any particular courses where no winning favourites are a regular occurrence, CR, or are you only able to analyse on a general basis?

January 25, 2009 at 07:33 #206385What’s happening, Fists?
January 25, 2009 at 16:00 #206423Just did 2004,2005,2006
In these 3 years just 3 days where no fav or joint fav won.
The dates are
8/3/2005…..Exeter and Southwell…..13 races
9/3/2005…..Bangor, Catterick and Fontwell…..20 races
28/12/2005…..Wolves…..6 races (Banded Card)So thats only 3 days in 1850 over the last 5 and a bit yeras (99.38% strike rate) where no fav or joint fav won. Would Colins mate have been knocked out by the 13 or 20 race sequence?
