Simonsig possibly does not have the supposedly terminal problems of his two illustrious stable companions. Very lightly raced due to (I believe) splint/leg problems. In the past Henderson has said it’s a case of two steps forward and one step back, or even two steps back. Not seen since the 2013 Arkle, those problems (if it is only leg) must be fragile. On the positive side runs well fresh, so won’t need a lot of racing to get back on track. So of the three I’d say Simonsig is the most likely to return to form. However, is unlikely to remain sound if returning to form. If winning the King George in a canter I won’t be in a hurry to back him for Cheltenham.
