Mark druggy Drakeford – the talking turtle, very much aligned to Corbyn.
July 12, 2022 at 11:07 #1606614“Corbyn is an unelectable leftie, but he’s no Putin or Stalin”.
——————
Correct Chezza. in some ways Corbyn is no Putin or Stalin or Mao.
Just as:
In some ways Putin is no Stalin or Mao.
In some ways Jinping is no Putin, Stalin or Mao.
In some ways Castro was no Putin or Stalin or Mao.
In some ways Lennin was no Putin or Stalin or Mao.
In some ways Marx was no Putin or Stalin or Mao.
In some ways Trotsky was no Putin or Stalin or Mao.Trotsky was an important man in the Communist revolution and held top posts in the early Communist Government… But because of his different views was even banished to Siberia by Stalin who eventually had him assassinated. So Trotsky is no Stalin but is still far left.
Not all of the current far left are mass murderers, but they are apologists for them.
As Clive says, you wouldn’t get prominent (or any) Conservatives defending Hitler, Mussolini or even the EDL / BNP. Yet Corbyn, Abbott, McDonnell etc are well known (and consistent) apologists for Putin, Mao, Marx and others.Of course I’d rather have Corbyn as our Prime Minister than Putin. There are differences between them.
So of course it is possible to split the bigger “far left” grouping into smaller categories.
I could break the far left up into two groups:The Communist Left (including Putin)
And
The Neo-Marxist Radical Left (including Corbynites)…But they are both far left.
