Penultimate chance to end a losing run is in style

Spurs 2 home goals this lunchtime – won’t want to finish below busy bees – would put the tin hat on season

Wolves/Everton BTTS only because Toffeees have to score and can caught on break by nippy Wanderers attackers

Newcastle HT/FT v Foxes on Monday – certainty if they’re as manic as they were v Brighton

    5/1 Treble Chance

Tricky game for Benfica tonight away at Sporting Lisbon.. Benfica are the better team though and a win tonight will be enough for them to be crowned champions

    29/20 Benfica £4.00
    4/1 Benfica -1 goal £1.00

Leicester desperate for a win so you never know but they just haven’t been anywhere good enough all season despite having the likes of Maddison in the squad. I don’t see the need for Newcastle to heavily rotate and they will want 3rd place. -1 goal is evens with Ladbrokes and I was expecting shorter so going in on that as a one goal lead and Leicester could fall apart chasing

    1/1 Newcastle -1 goal £12.00

    +£110.00

Following on from the above a couple more bets
Newcastle near enough the best defensive record. Could come under a bit of pressure tonight but on the flip side they are strong going forward against a weak Leicester defence

17/10 Newcastle to win to nil £5.00
    5/2 Newcastle -2 goal handicap £5.00

Nathan, I would have felt your “pain” on Monday a lot more if Spurs hadn’t let me down in the first leg of my treble. I suppose the whole financial model of the Premier League would collapse if most matches were to be decided on form lines!

My final desperate crack at a Premier League treble starts tonight.

Man Utd Win v Chelsea 3/5

Final chance for Red Devils to really impress their faithful at Old Trafford against “big name” opposition. At this stage they probably feel they can beat the Cottagers blind-folded! Cup success looks very doubtful.

Tottenham Win at Leeds H/T 15/8

The real gamble of the bet that Spurs will want to exorcise last weeks’s humiliation. I’m trusting them for all of 45 mins! No doubt they will be monitoring developments in West London!

Crystal Palace Win v Notts Forest 7/10

Londoners are a more reliable outfit than they were earlier in the season and have impressed as much as the lesser West London teams. Hammers lucky not to be involved in the dog-fight.

    It’s a 6.8 \ 1 Treble Chance

The Coventry/Luton Play-off may involved two average teams and the Teesiders and Wearsiders may consider themselves a little unlucky but the the contest is nonetheless intriguing and and not easy to call especially for those of us who haven’t followed this league.

The Post weekend tip was for a scoreless draw while today’s tipster has gone for the Skyblues to bag promotion. Of these I prefer the latter as I would expect fatigue to be a factor in the second half and errors should produce a goal or two.

Luton have had a tougher season than Coventry and have generally displayed the requisite toughness and consistency to handle all their league and cup games. Coventry started the season poorly and have had the easier campaign. Since a wake-up hiding by the visiting Potters on April Fool’s day their form appears to have solidified.

The poser is do you stick with the proven track-record of the Hatters or do you put your faith in a fresher squad who may be just peaking in time. Luton depend a lot on their dangerous aerial game in the box from crosses while the Sky Blues appear to me to have a more midfield counterattacking outfit. The latter may just work better in the broad Wembley arena especially in the second half in the low 20s temperature. Perhaps their varied styles may contribute to goals and I think the Even money BTTS is decent value. I’m not sure its worthwhile on taking too much account of the recent play-off matches and I prefer to look back to their respective home games against decent Millwall opposition back in February where the Skyblues won 1-0 but the the Hatters could only drew 2-2. This suggests there’s not that much between these two and I’m ultimately siding with the fresher Sky Blues to just about clinch it.

My Bet Selection:- Coventry to bag 2 goals @ 14/5

    Enjoy!

Everton the team that want the win the most and they have home advantage… I’m not keen on the price though as Calvert Lewin is out and that weakens the goal threat. Bournemouth have beat Everton twice already this season and can frustrate them and have enough to score goals

    5/1 Bournemouth £3.00
    33/1 Bournemouth 2-0 c/s £2.00
    110/1 Bournemouth 3-0 c/s £1.00

I have some free bets burning a hole in my Bet365 pocket so I’ve done a muggy bet builder of Grealish to score and assist at 16/1. I was going to add over match 2.5 goals but that put the price down to 14/1. How does the price go down when I need one more goal on top of the two I’ve backed?

Wouldn’t do bet builders with my own money as they are for mugs but a) I am one and b) you can see why given the above.
