Not a type of racing you may be familiar with, but I think he is worthy of recognition by. The New York Times even did a story on the 14yo warrior.

He finished this race as if he could go another year or two, and in fact he might, Carter said. Horses older than the retirement age are allowed to compete on a limited basis in amateur races or county fair races for a few years. The old horse who never missed a beat might see the winner’s circle again after all.
