I am probably going to Hell – or Gravesend – for writing this, but at least I’m honest.
I think TRF has been a more pleasant place for his absence.
But nothing good lasts forever and you might have summoned him like a demon with this thread, which could thus turn out to be basically a form of Black Magic.
You might then be accused of being a witch, Moehat!
Avoid the Witchfinder General (and other dodgy heavy metal bands).

However, I’ve just had a bit of a damascene moment in that I’ve received news that one of my oldest and dearest friends has been diagnosed with Altzheimers, and we’ve been somewhat estranged over the past few years, partly because of the pandemic and not visiting people but also because of a differing of political opinions ( something that has happened to me a lot since the referendum). It’s knocked me for six, to be honest, and I’m trying not to be so judgemental of people. A lot of my political friends wouldn’t speak to me if they knew I loved horse racing. Life seems very complicated these days. At one time I had different categories of friends and politics and stuff didn’t get in the way. Divide and rule and all that.

Nathan is the only constant voice, but he is having an understandably quieter time all round.
Hopefully his trip to the dentist did him no harm. Nathan referred to it. I personally wouldn’t see a dentist in a pandemic.
I try not to concern myself over missing posters. All posters have good and bad in them. I try to remember the good. I wish no ill on anyone and there are many plausible reasons why people take a break or decide to exit the area.
The only places I’ve been to during the pandemic have been vaccine centres, the vets and the dentist because I’ve lost three fillings thus far: the first one being at the start of the very first lockdown. That was as a result of an attack of the midnight munchies when I bit into a rice ( pulse and quinoa cake to be precise) cake. It was one of those ‘what the **** do I do now’ moments, never to be forgotten.
I hope you eventually manage a nice holiday Moe and possibly a new pair of pyjamas to take with you. You have kept yourself and others admirably safe and are an inspiration to many with your warm, no nonsense, posting.
When I see a woman walking a lonely path I do wonder if it might be you, but of course, I never approach, and keep a safe distance behind the curtain.
I’ve had another damascene moment and just remembered that the people I’d unfriended over the past few years were Farage supporters so I think I’m back to being judgemental again….(that didn’t last long, did it…)

Tank seems to have fixed ideas about people and if they evolve, change and no longer conform to his original impression, he’s clearly not comfortable with it.
Gamble has changed a bit in the 20 years I’ve known him online, so have I, but neither of us are controlling and we’re both comfortable with evolving personas in others.
