Sorry about the late post, so shall just put forward the horses for your consideration.
In the first at Ascot KING OF LIGHT e/w looks overpriced and expect a better showing than the bookies odds.
In the following race MORE THUNDER will take all the beating and will finally get his season rolling.
Finally up at York the forgotten horse for the John Smiths Silver Cup Stakes TABLETALK is my choice to take the honours.
good luck to allHopefully with Goodwood next week things will start to look up on the numbers front and I will have more selections to put forward for your consideration. While I don’t usually have time for hard luck stories about horses there are always exceptions and this applies to KING OF LIGHT e/w who I advanced for your perusal in my last posting here. Having blown the start losing many lengths his jockey brought the gelding home in his own time and received a seven day suspension for not making a ‘meaningful effort’ to obtain the best possible place. Running the horse into the ground to get maybe 10th/12th place is plainly quite stupid and I thought Harry Vigors was harshly treated by the authorities for an unfortunate incident and that run can be completely disregarded for evaluating his chances in today’s contest.

Tonight at HQ a filly called MOLLY MAC caught my eye after losing her maiden tag last time out. After going through the hands of a number of handlers her current one, Micky Fenton, looks to have picked the lock on her potential. Although one win from fourteen starts hardly sets the pulse racing I would venture the reasoning that 50% of those races were at a trip beyond her and was very unlikely to be successful. At current odds she’s at a price which will give a positive return if a each way tilt is the way you chose to go.

good luck to allMy first selection for the Ebor meeting and have to come clean from the off that’s it’s somewhat of a risky investment. Against WELBURY e/w are the following, never run on ground with soft in the title but as I’ve said previously such matters are deferred to the horses handler. Also not in his favour is the very wide draw which could make life difficult because of the size of the field. However the selection I’m putting forward for your consideration also has a few things going his way. A stable and jockey both exhibiting good form at present and a progressive profile. This relatively lightly raced gelding has taken his time to find his feet but following his demolition job at Redcar last time winning easily, he deserves a chance to show how high he potentially can go. Shooting clear of the field at the two marker Welbury fairly bolted up registering numbers above anything produced before and I’m hoping for at least a place ……. currently priced at around 25/1.

good luck to allThe lightly raced Crisford filly VEIL OF CLOUDS caught my eye down at Goodwood this evening who finally lost her maiden tag in a pillar to post victory at Lingfield. Ran well on handicap debut in her previous contest where maybe five appearances in six weeks took it’s toll. Following a month off she dominated her rivals and produced her best RPR so far while described as winning readily. For some unknown reason there are people that have marked her down because all except one appearance has been on all weather surfaces and to my mind this is a mistake as there’s just not the evidence to conclude this.

good luck to allThe Ripon Rowels handicap to my mind doesn’t strike me as being particularly strong for a class 2 0-100 contest. I’ve gone for potential and the smart looking MASJESTIC DANE e/w isn’t badly treated off his initial handicap mark against these mainly exposed types, although I’ve put him down as each way because of the lay off since the early part of the year.
