That’s a brave bet to be having BB. There are a few who have won by long distance like Back to Fornt and I think Shadow Leader won by 10 lengths. Matrin Pipe had that French horse that ran them ragged.
I think you are totally underestimating the differnece between what he’s going to meet and what he’s met in the past.
I think he’ll win ok and by a comfortable 4 or 5 lengths but he’ll ned to come out of 2nd gear to do it.
Cheltenham isn’t Ireland and no one will be
out for a look at the people or thinking future handicap marks. Huge difference between taking on 2 triers and 20 triers ready to run for their lives.4 lengths for me will do fine.

Boll***s…no pun intended

It’ll also depend on how Brian rides her, he could cruise to the front very late if Dunguib settles like he did last time out, I’m not saying for one moment that he couldn’t win by 10 lengths or more if they wanted to, I just wouldn’t put my cash on it

No Good Menorah….can’t see that yoke geting Dunguib off the Bridle.
Tomoro should be more interesting that today
I got a stronger name thatn olk for him. Had a few odd quid lying in my Betfair account and did a 5 timer and some 4 timers….4 winners and that bag of shyte
Never did swallow that win over Bellvano especially when Nicky said hewas the best in his yard and wasn’t himslef in that race.
They don’t even rate Lush Life good enough to go to Cheltenham.
Mind you Nicky could have been on the sauce when he said that about Bellvano because half the lads in the yard say Finians Rainbow is their best novice according to what was said on das radio.

I wouldn’t bet that distance either especially if Jonjo runs Get Me Out Of Here.
He has been to the well 5 times and improved with every run. He’s unbeaten, been tested and you could hardly say he’s been put under any pressure to do it.
I doubt if anything Dunguib has met outside of Rite of Passage in the bumnper would be within 10 lbs of Jonjos.
Beating him will be hard enough without saying he’ll do it by 10 lengths.
February 20, 2010 at 18:24 #278117What is the Best English Novice Hurdler over 2 miles…
I keep hearing that wait till he comes to the Festival in a 20 Runner field etc…but the Betfair market is implying that the Dead Wood will be pulled up if they went with Dunguib. Menorah been stuffed today and looked like he couldn’t finish his race with a decent pace.
Oscar Whiskey is the best?….2 time runner over hurdles and hasnt won a graded contest yet?.
Couldn’t have Jonjo’s yoke. Must have ran too many races to be primed for a Festival tilt.
February 20, 2010 at 20:12 #278136Get Me Out Of Here seems the only decent one to me imo to give him a race, people say he carried the low weight in the Totesport but he crushed them anyway and a time that was really fast as well, but othe rthan that there seems to be nothing.
If there was a horse to maybe trouble him it would be a horse full of speed which Get Me Out Of Here is I think.

Probably Peddlers Cross but whoever it is won’t get Dunguib off the bit. I haven’t seen anything else in The UK that I’d fancy to get For Bill off the bit,, never mind Dunguib
It would be a real shame if he ran in The Suporeme, a bit like Usain Bolt showing up at The School Sports and entering The Father’s Race.
The only other way I could visualise a "race" would be if we get one of the guys who start some of the minor bumpers off in Ireland to let the field go, he could wait till Dunguib is 100 yards from the tape and facing the wrong way… I’ve seen it done several times this season already….then he MIGHT just come off the bit

February 21, 2010 at 12:56 #278237Menorah has tended to race very freely and didn’t get home at Doncaster over the longer trip.
Despite the decent time I have my doubts about the value of the Kempton form and suspect with his style of running he may want a sharp, flat track. I think he is much too short in the market – seemingly those who have supported him think Bellvano is a worldbeater. Having said that I think quicker ground should be a benefit not a disadvantage.
Other than my comments above I hadn’t read anything else critical of Menorah prior to yesterday’s race so I hope others are not going to suggest they knew all along.
February 21, 2010 at 20:38 #278334Menorah probably would’ve won if he hadn’t have pecked badly on landing, Johnson gave him an OK ride from the front but Ruby on Lush Life put him under a lot of pressure 2 out and the favourite didn’t seem to like it. Didn’t jump the last two well either.
If Dunguib went for the CH instead of the SNH there’ll be a lot of very angry punters out there with their big ante-post bets, especially as Phillip Fenton has always maintained he’ll go for the Supreme.
February 21, 2010 at 21:26 #278341Can’t buy into the thinking that Menorah was in any way unlucky yesterday?
Good ride, bad ride…going off too quick…odd mistake here and there…None of that matters to me, he was well and truly stuffed by the winner and won’t finish in the top 6 IMO.
Dunguib will not come off the bridle and will win easily! Wouldn’t be backing on any potential winning distance though as you’d be absolutely gutted if you’d backed to win by 10 lengths or more and he won hard held by 8 lenghts!
February 22, 2010 at 14:39 #278410Its all about opinions but in my reading of the race Menorah was very disadvantaged by the way the race developed and then how he was subsequently ridden.
He is clearly the best of the British imho.
Strong e.w. bet still for me at 12/1
Strong 4/1 without Dunguib bet for me also.February 22, 2010 at 14:57 #278412One of the reasons Menorah lost was that he pecked very badly on landing at the last jump which gave Lush Life the advantage – it was a novicey mistake and he’ll obviously learn from it, but he was under pressure by Walsh’s mount coming into the home straight. Prior to that he travelled extremely well in testing conditions but to be honest it wasn’t a great race and it’s hard to put into context with the SNH. None of the main market principals are foot perfect over hurdles but they are obviously only novices, might depend on who has enough speed and stamina over the last 3 or 4 furlongs which Dunguib obviously comes out on top with his superior engine.
February 22, 2010 at 20:12 #278473Menorah isn’t good enough. A good horse and a stronger pace will help but he will not win the Supreme. He was second favourite by virtue of a lack of anything else.
Imho the 2nd best 2m novice hurdler in the UK & Ireland is Peddler’s Cross who I think has been vastly underrated. Having said that McCain looks to be aiming him at the Neptune and to be honest he wouldn’t beat Dunguib anyway.

Good man Ivan Yeates!

Does this apply to ante-post bets too, or just on the day? I took 14/1 about Get Me Out of Here with PP right after the Totesport, and would ove to think it’s a bet to nothing.
