Hi and welcome to the new Tipping Premiership season. This year we have a new sponsor, Super Soccer, who have kindly put up the prize money for the competition. Prizes will be the same as last year which were as follows –

Premiership –
Winners £60.00
Runners Up – £20.00

Championship –
Winners £35.00
Runners Up £10.00

League One –
Winners 20.00
Runners up £5.00

Rules are the same as last year – you post five selections each Saturday plus as many reserves as you wish (in order of preference). Your profit/loss is calculated to 1 point level stakes and if you beat your opponent you are awarded 3 points. You get 1 point for a draw.

Everyone plays everyone else in their league once, meaning a total of 9 games, and the winner is obviously the one who scores most points. In the event of a tie on points at the end of the season cumulative profit/loss will be taken into account, in the same way as goal difference in football.

    Clear? Good!

I’ll post a full fixture list next week (I’m on holiday this week and don’t have time to calculate the full season listing) but the first week’s fixtures appear in the topic I’ve started for week 1 selections.

So, a quick rundown of the line up for each League –

Roland – last season’s clear winner and the one they’ll all be up to beat this time around.
Kevin – came with a late rattle last time and was unbeaten in his last five games to finish runner up.
Grey Desire
Johnny B
Corma67
Racing Daily
ManUGirl
Letsgetracing
Irsheyez – promoted from the Championship which he won last year after a dramatic final day when he selected 4 winners from 5 to snatch the title.
FanciedHorseLayer – Also promoted and unlucky to lose the title to Irsheyez after a good season

Championship –
Bob Rolf – Relegated from the Premieship last term, Bob will be looking to bounce back in style
Perry – Very unlucky to remain in the Champioship after needing only to win his last game last season to be crowned Championship champion. Perry posted a profit but Michael Walsh posted a better one and Perry could only watch in dismay as he slid to third and didn’t even get promoted!
Anne7
The Wizard
Xanderkir
Michael Walsh
Adrian
CelticOK – Promoted from League One last season as champion and will no doubt be looking to challenge for Premiership status
Jairducochetfan – Also promoted after a solid season and another strong contender
Slipperytoad – Alderbrook is unable to play this season which is good news for Slipperytoad who takes his place in the Championship courtesy of finishing third in League One last time. The frog-like one will be hoping to continue his end of season form when he won six of his last seven games.

    League One –
Cormack15 – Yours truly. I had a desperate campaign last term and was despatched to the bottom league in rather embarrassing fashion. I feel an Arsenal-esque unbeaten season is on the cards so look out people!
Arnalade – Also relegated last season and will be looking to regain some pride in the lower division.
Citygirl
Kingmonkey
Caravan
LRM
Ken1
2-y-o Tipster – enters League One from non-league tipping after easily winning the pre-season qualifiers. A repeat of anything like his pre-season performances will have them running for cover
Grizzo – A profitable pre-season sees him eneter the fray
SBerry – Scrapes into the league courtesy of Alderbrook’s defection.

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY (and please PM any questions regarding rules etc)
