Sometimes the missus gives me some horses to put bets on for her. She’ll always do two horses in a race (just occassionally three in bigger fields), with maybe up to six races at a time.

    She likes the idea of having a chance of a big win – don’t we all <!– s:) –>:)<!– s:) –>

What I’ve generally done is put them into groups of three horses and done patents, but it becomes a bit hit-and-miss as to whether her winners go together, so I was wondering whether anyone had any suggestions as to the best way of putting them together.

I tried grouping three races together (so six-ish) horses and done the singles/doubles/trebles, but I’m sure I can combine them better than that.

    DG,

this won’t really answer your question, but just for info.

I group a lot of horses together quite often, and Bet365 site is definitely the best for this. Make all your selections, and head to the "multiple" options, should make things pretty easy, miles better than other sites.

Hope this is of some use.

    Cheers VtC for the reply.
It’s actually Bet365 I use for that very reason with the last bit about singles/doubles/trebles, as it was excellent for calculating the number of multiples – still works out quite expensive though :(

With respect Dartguru, unless you post the races and selections on the day I fail to see how anyone could offer any advice.

    When you say that

"She’ll always do two horses in a race (just occassionally three in bigger fields), with maybe up to six races at a time"

is not really much use is it?
