Nick Henderson sang the praise of his new German import Stellino when the animal thundered home by 15 lengths on his debut over timber at Taunton in February 2008. The trainer commented after the win "I was very pleased with him here as he was very professional. He jumped and travelled well and did it with the minimum of fuss". But although reaching the a rating of 130 the animal was never placed in a race again during his stay at Seven Barrows stable

I took interest when Stellino moved north to James Moffat stable but on only his third race for his new stable, Stellino’s career ended Toteplace Handicap Hurdle on Saturday when he pulled up injured after the last and had to be destroyed.

Stellino;- A one race wonder, ok, it was a small race and his trainer at the time sung the animal’s praise, or coud he have went on to be successful with James Moffat?

Had turned into a complete bridle horse by his last two starts for Henderson. Hadn’t shaped similarly under Moffat but hadn’t shown he could defy his mark either.
