How do they work out the SP at Meydan? Is there a survey of a traditional betting ring or is it some other method?

On a recent visit to Meydan we were unaware there was any racing taking place. Some sort of jazz band played loudly through everything, no idea what was going on so we left. On very close examination I think we saw a horse! They have built a place larger than an airport with as much atmosphere as an empty one.

    Kasparov,

It’s what’s called an Industry SP, calculated and published by SIS and defined as follows:

An Industry SP is an off-course SP that is based on an average of the closing early bird prices taken from a specified group of off-course bookmakers.
