Looks like this one has taken somewhat a back seat for the weekend but interesting jockey bookings on some very good horses make this one worth a mention.

Christophe Soumillon comes over for Sir Michael to take the ride on Ask. Ask looks to progress once again on the superb 6th place in the Arc.

Tranquil Tiger is again sent out quick with the newly-retained Cecil jockey Tom Queally on board once again. Spanish Moon, one I’ve followed closely this year, also comes out to play in this after a decent 2nd (by a nose to Blue Monday) last time out.

Robert Winston once again takes his regular ride on Young Mick after the uncharacteristic Ascot performance under Ryan Moore and from early declerations Presvis has also been put into this. Luca Cumani stated after Presvis’ last run that 1m4f could be what the horse is crying out for and this is indeed that trip.

All in all a pretty hot contest if of course they all turn up – all have jockeys booked at the moment bar Presvis.

I’ll be taking my regular notebook bet on Spanish Moon but will also put my money on Ask for this one. The booking of Soumillon is an interesting one indeed and if the price is right I’ll be backing.

Ask has an obvious chance but I have Spanish Moon as much the best value bet at around 13/2. I have him as a 23% 100/30 chance.

    My prices to beat are:

Ask 5/4, Spanish Moon 100/30, Blue Monday 7/1, Buccaletti 11/1, Sell Out 22/1, Scintillo 25/1, Championship Point 50/1, Numide 400/1.

Expect Ask to be Barry’s Bismark
