She lost the race running wide round the bend flying at the finish..but happy to see a class horse like Blue Bolt win. 🏆

Well done Trip, RtB and HDLG.
    So pleased for Saffie Osborne.
Joseph O’Brien has used female jockeys before on horses with respectable chances IIRC and I like to see trust rewarded. Jessie Harrington (and Kate, pretty much, though her name isn’t on the licence) won the Irish Champion today.. ‘hon the wimmin! :-)

So Christmas Day will join Lambourn, Serpentine, Wings of Eagles as a very mediocre Coolmore Derby winner who will earn his money as a jumps stallion.
Saffie was top notch on Highwayman and brilliant to see history made in the 250th renewal. Interesting that the Leger is as old as the USA but at least it’s not been taken over by a madman.

AOB horses really in a poor vein of form right now. I do start to wonder if we are close to the moment where the apprentice succeeds the master. We’ve seen it with Skelton and Nicholls and it will come for Joseph and Aiden- perhaps sooner than we think.

    WD winners.
No bet in this today; was out all day so only just watched a replay on my phone.

A peach of a ride by Saffie. She’s really had an absolutely brilliant season; top rider👍

It hasn’t happened yet , you’ll know when it has as Coolmore won’t hesitate to stick the knife in and throw Aidan to the kerb , hey they have to think of the bloodstock revenue , winning races comes second …a distant second

Sounds about right HDLG. JOB will before long be the No.1 Juddmonte trainer in Ireland ahead of Weld and Lyons and he’s pushing his father close in the Irish Championship. Today’s 1-2 will move him up to around eighth in the UK standings as well, so his star is very much in the ascendancy – and he’s picked up 3 Classics either side of the Irish Sea. Vincent O’Brien started to decline after a 30 year spell at the top, and Aidan is nearing the end of his third decade as a Flat maestro.
