    Entries……………

Always like an Antepost in this, and went with a horse who impressed me last time, Wiltshire.

Big step up required obviously, and holds an entry on The Phoenix Sprint on Saturday. I’ll probably have to bet him there too if he takes up the entry

    Wiltshire 66’s EW

Non Runner. If Art Power goes, I’ll side with him on the day if declared, but no more Anteposts on this one.

    I’ve done some of my ratings for this. A bit of a fiddle as it’s not ah andicap, but it looks a very close contest;

    129 Bucanero Fuerte
    129 Inisherin
    127 Art Power
    127 Shouldvebeenaring
    126 Moss Tucker
    126 Showalong

Only three Group 1 winners in their last 6 races, all in this list, Bucanero Fuerte(14/1), Inisherin(7/2) and Moss Tucker (33/1). Those three against field as I don’t see any problem with distance or probable going. If they don’t win I’ll be dead chuffed if my old mate Art Power gets his head front!

Not sure what the going is likely to be .. Has the rain hit the north??

Bucanero Fuerte has superb 2 y/o form… and won despite the lack of a run on his return. However a setback after that which saw him miss Royal Ascot and not run since this would leave me a bit cold

I think the last 5 winners of this hadn’t won a group 1 race previously.

Keeping the faith with Kind Of Blue, needs to step up but these Group 1 sprints can be a lottery.

The things I want most in life are the things that I can't win.

I see the sprint winners today were drawn middle to low.
Tomorrow in this race, there is pace all across the track with most of the youngsters drawn high.
For me a high drawn horse looks a good bet, Swingalong will be my selection with a E/W saver on Shouldhavebeenaring.
The two I fear are Kind Of Blue and Moss Tucker, obviously these are drawn low. Moss Tucker is an established performer in group class (like most of the field), while James Fanshawe has a good record in this race.

I hope we get to see the real exciting classy ELITE STATUS and not the problematic drop out the back of the tv one.
    Taken 13/2.
Can’t knock SWINGALONG at all, so consistent and just edged out of two group 1’s recently. Not sure if Mill Stream running an average race next time knocks the July Cup form so I’ll leave any others alone from that race. Also taken 13/2.

and robnorth’s pick Moss Tucker at 28s EW.

Hope your wrong Rob and Landafar is right :good: I’m also all about SWINGALONG (Win) in this one.
She really impressed at Newmarket July Cup last time out behind Mill Dream with Vandeek in 3rd and Art Power, Inisherin, Jaseur behind him.
Fillies do really well at this time of year so might also expect a big run from Shouldvebeenaring EW.

I’m sticking with Swingalong and hoping she can hold on this time with the drying conditions and flat track.

I think Bucanero Fuerte could run a big race also if fit but he has been off quite a while.
