June 23, 2003 at 22:12 #47039Nice one Kersly, I don’t normally follow Irish racing but I might start now.

Have you ever looked at trying this system out with chases not restricted to novices?
July 6, 2003 at 15:24 #47043Kerlsy
Shouldn’t Jollyolly in the 4.10 at Market Rasen have been a selection?
July 6, 2003 at 20:08 #47044Yes David you are correct.I’m afraid I didn’t have the time to post but Jollyolly qualified on all criteria.Had very little time to post today.
So in the 4.00 M.Rasen-Jollyolly….Won 3/1.
On returning home I was pleasantly surprised at the price.
Hopefully anyone following/monitoring the system would have spotted the qualifier
That takes the profit to 10.40 points
Regarding Novice Chases as yet I have no records it may be as well to use exactly the same criteria and monitor the results. The criteria should give us hopefully a value selection against limited opposition.
Thanks for your interest and comments David-Have you noticed any trends? This is a very busy time of year so time is limited.

Actually I was thinking of avoiding novice chases, concentrating on all other chases, conditions and handicaps. Then using exactly the same criteria as with the novice hurdles.
I have been monitoring it over the last few weeks and it is showing promise, though understandably it needs much longer time, I would Have thought, a full proper MH season.
I’ll keep checking it and give you an update.

Two things,
1) I think you missed two novice hurdle winners in May/June as well.
Sorry, but I only have the dates and the name of the horses, but Kidithou on 24 May and Felix The Great on 13 June were both selections, being at least EVS in the RP forecast. Makes your results look even better.
As for chases, since 13 June, including Ireland, there have been 8 selections resulting in five winners. Only Solway Plain and Bobayaro in the list below were losers. Sorry, I did not keep prices, or the courses, only my returns on betfair.

Again, these are all chases with the exception of novices but the rules are as per the novice hurdle system.
All the best
