Can’t see Ut De Sivola winning this – he’s only 5/2 because of Mullins’ name on the form sheet. He wasn’t particularly impressive last time out.
Countrywide Flame obviously sets the standard and it would be a surprise to see him out of the first three. However, Hollow Tree looked comfortably better than him and his next performance would seem to indicate that CF looks very vulnerable to an improver. With the ground heavy, the pace will be slow early on and CF isn’t renowned for his pace.
Which leaves Shadow Catcher. Battled on really impressively to beat Darroun (both Darroun and the 3rd place horse in that race have won next time out). He looks open to improvement, and has the sort of pace which will cause UDS and CF trouble in the finish.
