He’s back Wilts can Metal Merchant do what he did last year?
The more I know the less I understand.
April 12, 2025 at 09:07 #1726969I fancy the other Channon runner. Havent bet yet though
April 12, 2025 at 09:33 #1726972dont forget gents on the round course, not the straight mile
April 12, 2025 at 09:48 #1726976Agreed nwalton and I think this will sway me from Metal Merchant plus he is 6lb higher now and seems too high in the weights for this.
Drawn to 4yo Cogitate at the bottom with Hollie Doyle. The more I know the less I understand.
April 12, 2025 at 10:01 #1726979James McHenry ew 4 places
April 12, 2025 at 10:20 #1726986Seems to save his best for Newbury and a close 4th to Esquire in last years Greenham.
Son – 10/1 EW
Both Hannon’s entries are beautufully bred and my heart is with Classic for his damsire George Washington
I’ll be happy to see him win this but my money today is going to be for ‘second string’ Son.

Was trading, generally, at 10s last night. The Newbury Greenham meeting used to be a regular visit for the wife and I during late 90s into the noughties. I think last time we went was about 7/8 years ago.
Best of luck to all today
April 12, 2025 at 11:04 #1726990I was pondering who had the choice out of Son and Classic or if the owner had chosen the Doyler to ride her ‘favourite’. Both gelded after losing their way a bit last season, Son more so. He arguably has the most intriguing piece of form, that being his good run here on comeback in the Greenham Stakes.
Oof, tough call, so I went for a small bet on Great Acclaim instead at 25/1. I really should back Son though after that ramble chat. Oooh £10 free bet? Ok then.
April 12, 2025 at 11:10 #1726993That decision always a bit harder being an Arsenal fan, although I was happy to back Come On You Spurs last season. Happy for obvious reasons.
April 12, 2025 at 11:25 #1726999Sticking with Two Tempting ew 4plcs 25s, but must admit James McHenry’s credentials look good.
April 12, 2025 at 12:13 #1727009Maybe the owner wants us to think ‘The Doyler’ is on the best hope Chivers then up pops Son at a decent price.
So many times we’ve seen Hannon’s so called second string romp home.
Go with your gut feeling on this one..and best of luck with your freebet.Jac

April 12, 2025 at 13:18 #1727031chivers how can you be an Arsenal fan with that name?
April 12, 2025 at 13:55 #1727041My uncle Martin may have played for ’em but he’s a gooner through and through.
None of that is true.
April 12, 2025 at 14:02 #1727045Classic for me.
Blackbeard to conquer the World
April 12, 2025 at 14:08 #1727057I’m with Tritych , really tricky this time of year but Son was running well in the Greenham this time last year
