The moral of this story is: Don’t have friends and don’t ever lend anyone anything.

There is no standout and with not much else to come bar the rugby and cricket world cups it’s hard to see anyone emerging. England or Wales won’t be winning the rugby and whilst the cricket remains possible, it will be hard work. You then have the possibility of a split vote if Broad ends up on the list along with whoever does the Stokes style final heroics.
