Lots of chances here there are obvious choices the favourite on a five timer but is stepping up a furlong with an 8lb penalty which make the odds skinny So, a chance is taken
    With
    Assurance
    And

Both small win bets at nice prices

    Sandown 2.50 Marine each way
    Business as usual hopefully for
Oisin Murphy and his trainer Balding.
They won this last year wirh a first time out loup de Vega and the short priced favourite is readily opposed.
This years favourite has been off a while and his first run was a fourth place behind ybir. Balding introduced another placed loup de vega in thie same race.
Marine can do well first time out at a big price possibly even win if forward enough.
Not forward enough in a keenly run ecent UNPLACED

    440 Kelso
Two horses with interesting stats surrounding them in this contest.
    An Fear Ciuin

      Win

Has course form with a hurdles win pretty much over the distance here.
Off a 4 lb higer mark.
Can go well off a short break.

    Justice Knight win
M.Scudamore has an impressive strike rate with visits here and first time handicappers ( chase handicap)
    Price has halved this morning.

    Allow me to translate!!!
Talking Tough has been crying out to step up in trip.
No chance with the winner there, but a very satisfying second place. @ 22/1 :mail: :mail:
This echoes his form a few runs back when he beat Soaring Monarch over seven furlongs before that horse stepped up to a mile and ran second. Soaring Monarch’s form is well advertised coming out of Tiger Moths maiden to score next time out @ 50/1 but put in his place by the selection.

    Global Hero
    Win
A chance is taken on this
horse two years after his last race.
Unassesable but had he been racing wouldn’t be on the mark he is.
    Lots of questions.
Godolphin are around the corner in HQ so he could just be out for a warm up spin.
Not much of a price so bookies taking no chances.
    Result Warm up spin!!
A satisfying fourth place way ahead of shorter priced fancied rivals.

£255 pounds in prize money so far not beaten many home and no indication as yet that he even likes going over this trip.
    But…….
Mark has dropped and he has had a few runs at the classic distance including last time out with todays jockey.
Handicapper took no chance on his arrival in Ireland after spins on the all weather in England and raised him 3lbs.
He has the highest draw (14) and it served last year’s winner well (albeit a few more runners 18 stall 21)
An each way chance is taken even though many others have stronger claims that
    Voice Of Salsabil
Can take a hand on his second start for his new trainer who enjoyed good success last week with Flirting Leza

    Naas 2year old meeting
    Eight races all for 2yo’s
    Welcome to the bookmakers paradise…
    ..

But there is always an angle…..
I think these races will be good to video review for handicap information
Most horses though are unassesable without a run

    First to flag up
    Stallions race
    5.45
All make their racecourse debut but two have had placed Barrier trials
    Southern Style
Has a barrier trial win under his belt.
    Deputy Sandy
    Placed third in his trial
    Sea Appeal
    Indulging

    Also barrier trialed (unplaced)
The advantages of all weather trials has become all too obvious. The track experience and use of stalls, fitness mean knowledge of these trials can be a useful tool in assessing races. Viewing the trial is also easy. Once more than a few have have had Barrier trials, evaluating them on the trials becomes interesting. Running on at the end, making all before falling away or winning are all considerations…..

    Tramore 3.35
    Our Majella
Has a great chance of making the frame under Rachel Blackmore.
    33/1:is a distant memory!!
    Another interesting runner here is
    Oscar Madness
Back from a long layoff after an unspectacular time with Henry De Bromhead.
Never achieved after winning a maiden point in 2017.
Jockey (IJ Power) was successful last month for Alice Curran riding
Jackson’s Gold to victory backed down to 33/1 from 200/1
Up against some spring heeled types here. Worth a peep in the betting otherwise a watching brief to see how he shapes up for future assignments.

    Continually selecting Elliits second string.

“I thought the handicapper had been a bit hard on him, putting him up 10lb for his last three runs I think that’s unfair on horses in Ireland. I think if you finish second you should be dropped 2lb because it means you are trying.”
