Highlight of the day has to be the return of Tiger Roll over in Ireland.
It looks like a run out and leg stretch rather than a race to try and win.
Willie Mullins has a beautifully bred horse in this and there is also a horse I put up here on debut which made a massive impact last time. Lots of interesting runners in this contest and obviously Tiger will be backed by many. I’d be interested if he went hurdling again, which has formed his preparation before.
There is also a competitive 5f handicap where surprisingly few have the requisite credentials to actually win. Teddy Boy won this last year and looks to have a very good chance of going close again and give Ed Lynham the race three years running. There is also a very interesting each way horse in this contest.October 22, 2020 at 13:07 #1506961
Bit early for a bumper
But this contest will be over soft ground and Henderson and Nichols have three runners dominating the market.
Chris Gordon sends,
SAMI BEAR unplaced
CASTLEDHEM has had wind surgery since a good debut 2nd followed by a flop when a distance behind. Adam Wedge rides
Better is expected today.
Provided the big guns do not run riot then one of these has an outside each way chance.
SMALL STAKES ONLY HERE
CASTLEDHEM 3rd @ 13/2October 22, 2020 at 13:49 #1506964
Realtin Fantasy each way 1.55 Navan
Has a chance of placing again at the minimum trip. Was not far behind last time at a triple figure price to one who is a favourite for the sprint handicap later.
Up against usual big brigades but at least has the experience of decent opposition

3.40 Navan 5f sprint
Ever Rock each way last year’s winning Jockey up.
Pride of pimilco each way dropped a long way since maiden win here and trainer considers this one group class.66/1 plus
Teddy Boy win last year’s winner and running to form.
Bushtucker Trial each way. another with ability over the specialist trip. 66)1 plus Heffernan booked to ride.
4.15 “maiden” flat race
Tiger Rolls comeback and three to consider.
The Elliott second string of is a big price compared to his stablemate.
Bridge Native game runner placed the last seven runs.
Yaha Fizz difficult to assess and a chance this one may have hidden reserves.
All each way.
Watching brief on two interesting runners besides tiger roll, Princess Vega Kevin Manning booked but just don’t see this being knocked about on reappearance and ILMIG was a watching brief on debut and gave a stunning performance in second last time will go on to better things. Favourite Noel Meades horse has Keane up and he’ll be desperate to make an impression may go off too quick, but short enough in the market.October 22, 2020 at 15:34 #1506967
Miss Tynte each way
Pipe teams up with young scudamore.October 22, 2020 at 16:39 #1506970
Teddy Boy was a good winner in the sprint at Navan while Bridge Native ran supremely well for a long way. ILMIG stepped up on his debut run fulfilling promise.
BOLERO hopefully can confirm the favorable impression made recently in racing behind Barrington court and the step up in trip will help. Hannon who was in behind then went on to win over hurdles and BOLERO has been placed since.
Each way single.and
Each way double with Miss Tyte

Didn’t appreciate the step up to over a mile last time after good dead heated fourth place at this trip here on debut. Hollie Doyle back on board and horse will settle better.
Hiroshi each way.

NEVER SAID NOTHING small e/w
MAGICAL DRAGON small e/w
All three wins achieved for current rider.
First named is well treated if philip prince can get a tune out of this one at a big price for a last time out winner. Has course form.
The dragon is a lightly raced sort in a good draw. Dropped 5lbs already after handicap debut. Good trainer places horses well.

Lanval win chels 8.30
Stepping up in trip
Up against a short priced favourite in a small field
Good start when Castledheim placed in the Bumper
CASTLEDHEM 3rd @ 13/2
Advised early on that Teddy Boy would win and he obliged readily at Navan in from bigger prices
TEDDY BOY won @ 4/1
Kept ILMIG as a watching brief just like his debut and again he didn’t disappoint, beating allcomers. Bridge Native just failed to land some each way running a fabulous front running race and ending up fourth.
Plenty more did disappoint today and it wasn’t as good as other days!!
