Cheers Cork and HDLG, and of course you are right, it was the RSA not the GC and that was a bit of
a howler. In my defence it was bloody 4 o’clock in the morning and my brain doesn’t work too well
at the best of timesAnyway, I’m sure you get the sentiment behind it if you swap the two around. As it happens we are
not going to know for now as he has been withdrawn. So it’s back to the drawning board for a 2nd
time as Cloth Cap also didn’t make itNovember 2, 2019 at 10:30 #1473633I’ve also went with Larry here. I think he’ll go very close, and I thought that the price was an ew steal.
November 2, 2019 at 11:01 #1473645I will be curious to see if Regal Encore is on a going day. If so, he should have a decent EW shot on this mark. Course and distance won’t be an issue.
Regal Encore 25/1 EW.
November 2, 2019 at 11:02 #1473646I like Ascot for Go Conquer.
He’s a very difficult horse to weigh up with regard to what his main target will be, so I have a feeling that they might just have him spot on for this, and then they’ll take it from there.
I don’t have a Marathon Bet account to take advantage of 28/1, but I will still happily grab 20.
November 2, 2019 at 11:20 #1473651Welcome to TRF Spoon.
Go Conquer is a real old favourite of mine, but I never really caught him right. I agree that’s a big price.
Good luck.
November 2, 2019 at 12:48 #1473682At the 3rd attempt, I’m going for Adrien Du Pont, surely he won’t be withdrawn too
The ground is down as g/s at the moment, but with the forecast rain I reckon it will be
soft at best and he won’t mind that at all. I thought he looked impressive winning at
Kempton in December, ran not bad when closing after being held up next time out at
Kempton and then didn’t quite see out his race at Aintree in April. He’s had wind
surgery since, and if that has him back to, or better than, his previous form then
he should go well here. 12/1 seems reasonable.I mentioned Ultragold a while back in the thread, and although this
is his prep for Aintree, he might just run well enough to sneak into the 5 places at
50/1. Worth a few quid.November 2, 2019 at 13:06 #1473698Punted Mister Malarky each way with 5 places at Betfred. Although I must admit I am scared a bit by Vinndication despite my earlier comment.
November 2, 2019 at 15:29 #1473736Well done Grass, cursing you though lol
November 2, 2019 at 15:32 #1473737Impressive , also makes lostintranslation beating of him more impressive , reckon I’ll need to add to it
November 2, 2019 at 15:36 #1473739A very good performance. He must have a serious engine. I did not think he jumped that fluently but he still had enough left to give the last about a foot! Looks like he was punted off the boards as well.
November 2, 2019 at 16:00 #1473744I can never get Kim Baileys horses right; ditto NTD.
November 2, 2019 at 16:27 #1473751Thanks although Neil put him up first at more than twice the price!
Great EW shout for you and DBR on Regal Encore.November 2, 2019 at 18:25 #1473769Thanks Grass, chuffed to bits with him…….again.
Sorry RR, missed that, good call.
November 2, 2019 at 20:55 #1473785Thanks VTC.
Although I’d tipped at 8/1, I actually got 7/1 with Hills and with my other bets broke even today.
However with Pat’s Ante Post since being backing my choices and at the moment my betting is paying off.
The best things in life are free.
But you can give them to the birds and bees.November 3, 2019 at 10:05 #1473825Well done greenasgrass and RR. Proper perfomance by Vinndication. Will he have a shot at the King George? I’m happy with Regal Encore. He clearly was on a going day and only beaten by a very talented horse.
November 3, 2019 at 10:45 #1473830Cracking price Rummy and well done Green too, he looks an exciting prospect
Very nice e/w shouts by VTC and DBRNovember 3, 2019 at 11:51 #1473833I thought that I was on to a winner with Go Conquer, but he just blew up. I certainly wouldn’t have had any concerns about betting him fresh though before the race.
Back here in December, The Silver Cup must be very tempting for connections.
Well done to RR and Green with a very impressive winner. He strikes me as one who will just come up short in the top races, but that hardly matters here, and you must have been counting your winnings a fair way out. His best asset looks to be his jumping.
I didn’t consider Regal Encore for this, but he’s a very admirable type. 25/1 was a nice price, well done VtC and DBR
