To follow on from my Asian Hcp acca on Saturday (where only Austria let me down entirely) which I did in a Ladbrokes shop, I went in today to the same shop to place a similar bet on tomorrow’s International matches. I was served by a different girl who couldn’t find the markets so she rang head office only to be told that you can only do those bets online! I got my stake back from Saturday’s matches but I would have been royally pissed off if Saturday’s bet had won.
October 15, 2008 at 02:40 #184799Back to normal trebles so here’s mine for the WC qualifiers tomorrow:
ENGLAND to beat Belarus
BOSNIA to beat Armenia[/color:wijwpjm8]
[b:wijwpjm8]TURKEY to beat Estonia[/color:wijwpjm8][/b:wijwpjm8]2.86 with Betfred
I also think Ireland are a lay at 4/9 at home to Cyprus which can be added on Betfair but I’ll leave it at the 3 matches above for the moment.
Edited to add: FFS – Turkey can’t even beat a team who have conceded 13 goals in their previous qualifiers – very frustrating.
October 17, 2008 at 21:10 #185151The weekends here again and here’s hoping for some good results

October 17, 2008 at 21:24 #185155Well done on that “double” last weekend, Adrian. You make that Overs market look very easy. Two questions: Do you just match two teams with excellent goal scoring ability and dire defences? Would you not get better prices for your Overs bets at 2.45 on a Saturday?
More “hunches” than usual this weekend so I’ll put up all my fancies for England, France and Germany for what there worth. My two Treble bets first
[b:1tecneh9]13/2 TRF TREBLE CHANCE (6.48 PADDY POWER)
MAN UTD WIN V WEST BROM @ 1/5[/color:1tecneh9]
READING WIN AT PRESTON @11/8[/color:1tecneh9]SHEFFIELD UTD WIN AT SHEFFIELD WED @ 13/8[/color:1tecneh9]
13/2 EURO TREBLE CHANCE (6.44 WILLIAM HILL)
BOCHUM WIN V M’GLADBACK @10/11 [/color:1tecneh9](FRIDAY EVE)
B LEVERKUSEN WIN V AT FRANKFURT @21/20[/color:1tecneh9]
CAEN WIN V GRENOBLE @10/11 (NAP)[/color:1tecneh9]
THESE ARE THE OTHERS THAT MADE THE SHORTLIST!
ARSENAL WIN V EVERTON @4/11[/color:1tecneh9]
SPURS WIN V AT STOKE @13/10[/color:1tecneh9]
ST ETIENNE WIN AT NANTES @15/8[/color:1tecneh9]WOLFSBURG WIN V BIELEFELD @4/9[/color:1tecneh9]
LYON WIN V LILLE @8/15[/color:1tecneh9][/b:1tecneh9]
[i:1tecneh9]No regrets, some genuinely unpredictable results this weekend. Roll on better luck next weekend[/color:1tecneh9][/i:1tecneh9]
October 18, 2008 at 02:31 #185187Good evening all, well here we are again another weekend closer to Xmas.
Firstly in answer to Zilzal’s enquiry.
There is no method as such to my Overs bets mate, i am just having a fair bit of luck with it, not complaining though.
If there is one thing i do i tend to look at games who’s odds are over 2’s then begin to narrow it down from there, at the moment the Dart is landing in the right place more often than not but as we know that can soon change.
I have a problem as such with waiting until 2.45 on a Saturday as i am usually at work and i unfortunately don’t posess a Laptop but hopefully i can put that right at somepoint, i have it on good authority that Santa is doing his best for me.
Ok now for this weeks three.
Birmingham to win at Burnley.
Oldham to beat Leicester
Wycombe to beat Darlington.
As always the best of luck to all.
Adrian.
October 21, 2008 at 21:59 #185746Schalke are worth considering in any multiple bets this week. Although prone to complacency in the Bundesliga like theother top German teams, they should be much too strong for the Parisians who are lively up front but feeble in defence. It would be a surprise too if there were less than 2.5 goals.
Reading offer little value at 2/5 V Doncaster so I’m taking a chance with Coventry who seemed to play well enough in defeat against Wolves at the weekend.
7/2 Midweek Treble (3.53 William Hill)
MAN UTD WIN V CELTIC @1/4[/color:344uwbta]
COVENTRY WIN V BURNLEY @11/10[/color:344uwbta]
SCHALKE WIN V PARIS ST G @8/11 (UEFA Thursday)[/color:344uwbta]October 24, 2008 at 15:06 #186158Good morning all, well after a resounding success last week here are my ones to avoid this week.
Beginning with the Premiership, and whilst i’m sure everyone is waiting for a reality check to set in, until it does i will row in with
Hull to win at West Brom.
Next port of call is the Championship and it’s back to my hometown, after not the best of starts things are now beginning to pick up so in the hope that it can continue my second choice will be
Plymouth to beat Ipswich.
My final choice comes also from the Championship and defending a 100% home record i will be somewhat surprised if that is not still intact come 4.45 tomorrow, but as we know stranger things have happened so i leave you this week with
Reading to beat QPR.
As always the best of luck to everyone.
Cheers.
Adrian.
October 24, 2008 at 18:06 #186183Hello comrades,
Hope I don’t rue excluding Schalke below like I did Reading during the week.

Well after a couple of reverses here’s hoping the winning thread can be found again.
The honour for this falls on the shoulders of firstly,
Southend to beat Colchester,
If have not dived of the pier after that.
Darlington to win at Grimsby
and
Shrewsbury to beat Luton,
will hopefully wrap it up.
Cheers and good luck to all.
Adrian.

Treble at Coral just over 13/2.
November 1, 2008 at 16:42 #187386Well, I’m just about over my Wednesday night trauma of having counted all my chickens (or fighting cockerills!) into the cage only to find my humble treble in shreds down to outrageous Arsenal defending at the end of an epic encounter.
I’ve decided to continue for another month anyway with generally trying to identify a banker, a confident selection and and a value pick for my treble attempts. If I don’t run into a vein of winners before the end of year, I’ll go back to a short price treble of three bankers in the new year which I employed more successfully last year.
Good Luck with those selections, Fellas! Here’s my offering:
[b:2bhamawz]>4/1 TREBLE CHANCE (4.18 Ladbrokes)
MAN UTD WIN V HULL @1/5[/color:2bhamawz]
SWANSEA WIN AT DONCASTER @6/4 (VALUE NAP)[/color:2bhamawz]DERBY WIN V NOTT’M FORREST @8/11 (SUN)[/color:2bhamawz]
>11/2 EURO TREBLE CHANCE (5.67 William Hill)
HOFFENHEIM WIN V KARLSRUHE @4/7[/color:2bhamawz]
BORDEAUX WIN AT NANCY @6/4[/color:2bhamawz]RENNES WIN V SOCHAUX @7/10 (SUN)[/color:2bhamawz] [/b:2bhamawz]
November 4, 2008 at 22:24 #187995[b:2c9cu0t0]The three to avoid midweek are:
>7/4 MIDWEEK TREBLE (1.83 PADDY POWER)
WERDER BREMEN WIN V PANATHANAIKOS @4/9
RANGERS WIN V DUNDEE UTD @1/4[/color:2c9cu0t0]
WOLFSBURG WIN V HEERENVEEN @ 4/7 (UEFA Thurs) [/color:2c9cu0t0] [/b:2c9cu0t0]
November 6, 2008 at 05:45 #188264Good morning all.
Well it’s fair to say that things have gone a little bit Tit’s up for yours truly recently , so here’s hoping that i can get back on the winning trail this week.
Beginning with the Premiership and after a couple of reverses themselves recently after a more than satisfactory beginning i will take a chance on,
Hull to beat Bolton.
Next stop the Championship and although they have shown signs of turning the corner recently i can’t see beyond a home win in the shape of,
Reading to beat Derby,
In saying that we all know what happened the last time i went with Reading , the Eggs await .
A delve into the First Round of the FA Cup for my final choice that being,
Swindon to win at Histon.
As always the Best Of Luck to everyone.
Adrian.
