gamble knows – gamble ALWAYS knows.

Big Watership Down fan, me – which made it worse!

The guy was absolutely nuts and I was mightily relieved when we reached Leicester where he had agreed to drop me off.

Or… maybe he stuck to unlit backwater roads as much as possible- as he probably didn’t bother with things like mot and road tax

gamble was talking about the pretendy Flutter rabbit, as we know. He is an amusing writer a lot of the time but.. just lately some of his stuff has been only understood by himself, and that-as the Sex Pistols said, is No Fun.

There’s a thin line between funny/entertaining and incomprehensible. The latter makes him look pretentious to many. I’m still keeping the faith though :-)

Truffles are worth sniffing out, but only up to a point

    ;-)

Fair enough and possibly fair comment – I am my worst critic and I eventually did gamble in and snuffed out his supremacy for good for the simple reason he was far bigger than me and he was taking over my life. The fact he cane back even bigger as a ghost means he won and I lost. Now I hope I write more as me, but I can be selfish and write unintelligible paradoxes purely for my own amusement – vivre la difference et L’absurdite !

“Can’t say I’ve seen that many rabbits on the roads” – that fella had probably run them all over, Tank.

I, btw, was Harvey the invisible rabbit on the Flutter forum.

I created him to amuse gamble (and myself).

If I ever veer towards the incomprehensible/pretentious, do say.

I will be mortified and endeavour to correct my course immediately.

Bloody hell Drone that’s a great blast from the past – I’m pretty certain I had that book back in the harsh, frosty winter of ’63 – Harold Hare was one of my favourites

    Along with Twizzle and Torchy

I certainly had it, though that’s a stock photo off the ‘net, not mine. Where mine went and when I don’t recall; mater and pater chucked it without permission I expect, along with my Eagle comics, which remains a sore point to this day

    Comics of Xmas past
    and present.

    A little tip 👍
    For those subscribers
    or possible subscribers
    of the Beano
    You get your comic
    posted out (second class)
a day after Derby day of old
    that is a Thursday.
    It should arrive between
    Monday and Wednesday.
And it comes out in all
    the shops on a Wednesday.
So whether you go to school
or not you often get to
    read it EARLY..🧐

    You know what they say
    Down Basingtoke Way
    There’s only one big cheese
    There’s only one Ian Davies

    ….a little secret

My bug sister used to read
    Girl..

When she finished I always leafed through to Lettuce Leaf ‘the greenest girl in the school’

I think she only got half a page which made me love her even more.🧐
