Narcissism – under rated? Over rated?

    Preferable to self loathing?

We are told to like ourselves – but not too much.

I’ve always thought the bloody Sun shone out of me, tbh.

I would never deny myself a King Prawn Pathia with Pilau Rice delivery – the very definition of devotion to oneself, surely?

You’re slipping back into your old ways, Chief, I knew that keeping your posts down to well under the hundred a day that you used to post + calling people sir wouldn’t last long

I would slip out of Las Iguanas which was my cover restaurant, don my dark shades, pull up my collars, traipse a little way through Festival Place and then make a nervousy entrance into the church of Wagamana.
    A few furtive looks around
but not a sign or sniff, and well, that was another godforsaken Saturday night wasted, and on the fifty mile stop start drive back, torrential rain and something that looked like dead frogs, was the final insult on the windscreen. This never happened in the Ten Commandments.🧐

Apart from Waitrose, Wagamama‘s is just about the only thing Basingstoke town centre has got going for it.

But one can only eat so many chicken Katsu curries and rice before even that begins to pall.

Tbh, in an authentic sense, it wasn’t a patch on the minimalist original just off the Tottenham Court Road.

    Tank,

Think of “sir” spoken in the tone an arresting officer or Blackadder might use and you’re on the money.

    Fair play to you..
sounds to me just like a commanding officer..

It’s been some time ‘bird and just wondered where you boarded that Victoria bound train – Preston Fart, Haddocks, Burgess Pill, Wayward Heath, Slapstick Airport, East Toytown ?

Must try that one day. Sounds yummy but I’d probably go for chips instead of rice. Would that work?

Chips are IMO under rated generally – I often opt for chips rather than egg fried rice with certain Chinese dishes, Honey, Chilli Chicken, for example.

However, King Prawn Pathia is a pretty spicy Persian dish and I think mixing it in with a portion of Pilau Rice is a winner.

I am a man of simple tastes – having a takeaway delivered rather than collecting it feels terribly decadent and definitely a treat – and I am fortunate enough enough to have a very reliable takeaway I regularly use.

Thanks Ian. Rarely have a takeaway myself but do enjoy good ol’ fish and chips when the chip van comes round once a week.
