I agree as there is rarely a single cause of anything (which I assume is what mean by ‘not all about’ i.e. it’s a factor but not the only one) but yes let’s not open that can of worms.

Not entirely what I meant, Richard.
I meant am not 100% sure that global warming is primarily down to man.
ie It might or might not be primarily down to man, but we should act as if it is just in case.

Tobacco duty tax gives the government around £10 billion a year.

If it’s banned they will lose that. Unless they create a new tax on something else. How about the ‘air you can breathe tax’ or ‘the walking on the pavement tax’ I wouldn’t put it past this government!

I’m a non smoker . Don’t know if it’ll work though.

Do that many teenagers/young people smoke now? I live in a neighbourhood with a large student population and I seldom see any of them smoking.

smoking is bad for you and knocks years off your life

Thats why France with nearly 32% smoking compared with uk with 15% has a higher average lifespan (82) to the uk (81). And lets not get onto Japan where they smoke like maniacs

Also for to say that the French when they smoke… they smoke. Not 5 a day or whatever

There’s something called the “French Paradox” in relation to lower heart disease despite a rich diet, but that wouldn’t explain the smoking part of the equation. 🤔

Obesity is a killer. I was at the oval a few years back and we heard this this behind us. A huge 25st lump keeled over in tbe seats. It was embarrassing because he was sort of wedged there and no one could do much. Stewards just stood around for ages (once they had rifles his pockets)

Think they sort dragged him out by the feet but it was messy
