    Alex Hammond and Jamie Lynch say David Armstrong names his horses after villages in Yorkshire.

    I expect their email inbox has been inundated by Lancastrians.

    I am just disappointed that he was allowed to recycle Bassenthwaite (J.Tree, Middle Park winner 1984).

    On the Yorkshire/Lancashire and reused names theme: I notice there was a horse named Yorkshire running at York today.

    I remember Paul Cole training a horse named Yorkshire for Fahd Salman. He was a decent stayer. I think he ran in the Melbourne Cup one year and eventually ended up running over hurdles.
