For a while now I,ve been trying to come up with a simple method of rating races(havent we all I hear you say lol).I’ve been paper trading my latest one for about a week or so now and its been showing a level stakes profit on each day with a strike rate of around 32% on top rated and around 40% from the 2 highest rated in each race.So I’ve decided to put the kiss of death on them by posting them on here .I’ll post my 2 top rated in each race.So here goes with todays selections

January 26, 2012 at 12:43 #388336Hi Bubbles…
As long as you are logged in to the forum you can edit your posts by clicking the ‘Edit’ button on the bottom right-hand corner of the post you wish to edit…HTHGood luck with your ratings, I shall monitor your progress with interest…My approach is to back two selections in certain race types and find it quite profitable if a little mechanical.

Billy's Outback Shack
January 27, 2012 at 09:51 #388477Promising start, Bubbles….next stage is to analyse where your winners are coming from to identify where your ratings are most effective…
ie
Handicaps or Non-Handicaps
Number of Runners
Class of Race
Turf or AW
etcI think you may see a pattern emerge….

January 27, 2012 at 12:12 #388502Thanx for the feedback guys,I’ve just had a quick look through the last 3 days results and broken them down as follows
FLAT(AW)HANDICAP 7-22(31.81%) +7.74pts to level stakes
FLAT NON HANDICAP 4-14(28.57%) -4.7pts " " "
NH HANDICAP 4-21(19.04%) +11.5pts " " "
NH NON HANDICAP 12-24(50%) +11.11pts" " "
OVERALL 27-81(33.33%) +25.65pts " "It seems that Non Handicaps over the jumps seem to be the safest option though its early days yet.By the way these figures are for top rated horses only
January 31, 2012 at 22:42 #389238Very early days bubbles but nevertheless rather interesting
February 1, 2012 at 11:42 #389277A good start and as MANCHESTER SAYS IT EARLY DOORS YET but if you could maintain 10PTS PROFIT PER WEEK thats over 500 per year which many would die for to 1 pt bets.
My 1 concern is you have started the thread but whats happened since last post with selections or is this just when you feel like it as its VERY HARD TO SAY after just 2 post with selections
Look FORWARD to future post with selections
