Thank you Paul, i am so pleased to hear that Kilfinnan is OK – i saw the race on Racing UK and they never seem to tell you the outcome so i presumed the worst – glad i was wrong. :)

I too am new on this forum, having found it searching for news of poor Shamari. I don’t bet much, but do go racing quite a lot, particularly at Kempton and Lingfield and am lucky enough to live near Epsom & Sandown too. Its wonderful to watch, but i hate it when horses get hurt and have to say that the last fence at Kempton seems to take many casualties – anybody have idea as to why?

Not sure if the question wasn’t asked on the main forum at one point, but more knowldgeable people than me can answer that. A sad way to join TRF but, as you are someone who obviously cares deeply about horses very much the forum to be on.

Perhaps the BHA should hold enquiries into horses that die on the racecourse in this way. I think that horses that die on the racecourse have post mortums? If one of our horses was ridden in such a way with an outcome such as this I would most certainly be asking questions.
