Just a mention for Seb who I thought rode a fantastic race on Lady Herries’ filly. A great example of judging the pace from the front. When headed he’d saved a little bit to fight back and get back up. There are a lot of jockeys I don’t think would’ve won on Tartouche today. Excellent ride.

Rode a similarly good race on Key Time in the opener yesterday, caught quite a few flat-footed when kicking for home and it was probably a race-winning tactic.

Thought the first and second had very hard races.

Take back any praise I’ve given him for that effort on Foreign Affairs, who told him he was riding in the Stewards Cup?

Who is suggesting it should have won? But it brainless to push his head off for 3 furlongs until he’d got a clear lead. I didn’t back him, and he was entitled to finish closer than last, 20 lengths behind the second last.

It was a great ride if you sold it on the spreads ;)
