So decs are in and my antepost on Mister Fogpatches races. Usual jockey rides, and i think off 128 he has a very nice chance. For a horse 22 runs and only 1 win i’m very optimistic on his chances. I’ve been watching closely this year as it’s very obvious he wants a staying trip and a handicap.
He ran very nicely over 2m5 last time at Leop and the runs before that have been for a mark. Yet his run behind Brace Yourself was very eyecatching and worried me for his mark.
I might even go in again on him, but Soldier Of Love is a possible saver.Twitter: Jackh1092
Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!April 16, 2021 at 12:46 #1536738I’m going for two at the bottom of the weights here.
Chidswell at 40-1, but my main fancy is the outsider of the field, Chef D’Ourvre at 66-1. I think that is a big big price.
Both of these will obviously be ew at those prices.

April 16, 2021 at 19:33 #1536801There have been times when you had to look hard for the Scottish runners in this race, but not this time as the home side comes in mob handed with a number of decent staying handicap chasers now stables this side of the border. The Scottish runners show up well in my top rated:
Dino Boy 165
The Ferry Master 164
Cool Mix 164
Aye Right 163
Notachance 162
Enqarde 162
Claud And Goldie 161
Vintage Clouds 160My three against the field are:
Dino Boy 25/1, drying ground is the question mark (covered in the price) here but he has very solid staying form and has had a light campaign.
The Ferry Master 14/1 a novice whose campaign looks to have been geared toward this event. Trip is a question mark but Sandy Thomson knows what he’s doing with staying chasers.
Aye Right 6/1 is the class act in this contest. Stamina taken on trust but always putting it in at the end of decent staying contests.
David Armstrong would love to have a winner of this, but I’m not sure Cool Mix is quite up to it.
If one of my three doesn’t win I would love to see Claud And Goldie take the race. Trained by Ken Oliver’s grand-daughter Sandy Forster, this one has been all about patience and is still progressive at 12. Ignore his pulled up last time as there was a tack failure and he has barely run a poor race under rules.April 17, 2021 at 09:59 #1536875With Lord Napier missing, I’m definitely adding another pair. Was never going to let Dingo go unbet, and Lake View Lad, with a decent claimer on board, is a massive price. The more I look at him, the more I like. He’s 30’s just now, but right now, I’d be happy with the 25’s, seven places.
Dingo Dollar 10’s
Lake View Lad EW 7 Places
The Ferry Master 14’sApril 17, 2021 at 10:26 #1536882Mighty Thunder 12/1 EW
Massive chance. Ticks loads of boxes, stays all day.
April 17, 2021 at 20:05 #1536971Gutted Napier isn’t here , I’ve added the ferry master to my earlier dingo dollar bet and I think dingo boy is a really silly price , he showed in the kelso national he can stay a distance and he has form on decent ground , the owner also loves a plot job at this meeting , with 6 places I reckon he,s the value , I’m happy to take those on at the top of the handicap
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
April 17, 2021 at 22:12 #1536978Mister Fogpatches at 8/1 EW and The Ferry Master at 22/1 EW for me. Mister Fogpatches because he ran last time in a strong Irish handicap and we all know the difference between Ireland and the UK. The Ferry Master drifted out to a big price and I can see him running a big race if he stays.
Mister Fogpatches 8/1 EW (6 places)
The Ferry Master 22/1 EW (6 places)April 17, 2021 at 22:49 #1536984You’d think Pricewise has had half the field here the way the some of these are getting rattled in.
April 18, 2021 at 09:51 #1537003I’ve got a horrible record in this, but I love getting stuck into it. Aye Right and Mighty Thunder have obvious claims and the former deserves his big prize. The Hollow Ginge and Chidswell look big enough and I’ll take a chance on them too. I can’t resist a small go on Oldgrangewood for a stable that can’t seem to do wrong right now.
April 18, 2021 at 10:21 #1537005Thinking of changing my saver to De Ferry Master. taking the 7 places with Skybet 16/1.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!April 18, 2021 at 11:55 #1537021I’ll go with Mister Fogpatches here with the very unscientific approach of him being an Irish trained runner.
From my very limited knowledge of the jumping scene this season, I do like Chef Douevre at 14-1 as well, so I have added him. He’s my bigger bet.
April 18, 2021 at 14:22 #15370592 win bets for me. Chef D’ouvre at 14-1, and also The Hollow Ginge at 28-1
April 18, 2021 at 15:31 #1537093I’ll go with Big River each way and hope his ticker is OK.
April 18, 2021 at 15:44 #1537095Get in at 22s!
April 18, 2021 at 15:47 #1537096WD Mike, Charlie and Peter. My selection jumped like a fridge but glad Scottish trained horse won.
April 18, 2021 at 15:50 #1537097Well done guys
