Its probably because Wetherby and Doncaster are unlikely to go ahead so they had to put Lingfield in as it definitely will.
Channel 4 will show the Lingfield races in the likely event Donny and Wetherby are off.

I’ve just spent the past four hours attempting a perm and have given up- I’d need to be Harry Findlay to have a chance tomorrow- hoping for another rollover!

Carvills, how do you find the place part of the Scoop 6 compared to the tote placepot?
About two years ago I permed a Scoop 6 to £64, mianly because I was confident of getting all my selections placed. I did get them all placed and only three of the six races had a favourite in the frame, yet I picked up around £50 from the place part of the bet – made a loss overall.
I’ve never done the Scoop 6 again mainly because I’m never going to get six winner with the outlay I’m prepared to spend, and I wasn’t at all impressed with the dividend that the place pool paid. However, I haven’t followed it for months.

February 2, 2008 at 00:38 #139631Mine would probably be:
235 – The tother one
310 – Lead On or Hobbs Hill (also fear the market man)
345 – Caribou
215 – Mataram
245 – Invasion
320 – Johnstown lad or Fyodor

Rang the Tote during the bet last week and the operator thought it didn’t. Thought no more about it until I looked in my account today and we’d won the place divvy 24 times- a nice bonus! It paid about 180 quid, which I thought wasn’t bad considering the results.

Phil Smith does the staying chasers – I think your displeasure should be aimed at David Dickinson who covers hurdlers from 2M to 2M 3.5F.
Info from the BHA website.
Entirely agree with your point though – I’m sure it’ll be a long time before Brendan Powell runs a horse from 8lbs out of the handicap again.

He really ought to stick to TV shows about antiques.

PS Bet he’s never heard that one before.
