With Wincanton and Haydock looking dodgy, what price this ends up a Scoop 4?
I wanted to canvas opinion on this bet- I reckon it offers value in a week like this where there’s a big pot but that you need to stake fairly big to have a realistic chance. Anytime I’ve played before there’s only been 4 of us, but I really want to get 10 or a dozen in for about 250-300 quid and with a few of my mates thinking the game’s easy after Barker on Sunday, this may be the week.
I reckon you need at least one banker and one race with no more than two selections- if I don’t think that’s possible I’ll pass. I also reckon to have only two or so in the last leg as I think you can do some business on Betfair or with a friendly bookie if you get that far.
I would be fascinated to hear if anyone on here plays this with a syndicate and what their approach is- I know Mounty won it for a nice few quid once.January 16, 2008 at 21:50 #135822Am I right in thinking that races from Lingfield and/or Wolverhampton will take the place of cancelled races as Ascot is on BBC and not Ch4.
January 16, 2008 at 21:55 #135823Wolves is the usual evening meeting DB, so if all turf is off by Friday their only option would be six races at Lingers, which I’m guessing they wouldn’t do, as it would take too long.
January 18, 2008 at 16:34 #1362174 at Lingfield, 2 at Haydock, only 6 million combinations- easy!
I think it’s well worth a go this week.January 19, 2008 at 10:37 #136360Several hours work doing a perm only for the Tote to decide today that they won’t risk their precious rollover on four races at Lingfield. If they were consistent I wouldn’t mind but the precedent was for it to go ahead with four with no bonus available- changing the rules ad hoc is a bit poor.
